Customer Review: Still Going Strong #2!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Update:
My daughter is now almost 3 years old and weighs about 32 pounds and this chair still works great for her -- but I have chased her out of it and passed it down to my 6-month old -- and it is still going strong. I have washed the fabric now about 50 times at least -- and both the fabric and the frame are still as sturdy as ever. If you are planning on having more than 1 child - and would like something that can be passed on -- this is it!! Great product!!

I started using this chair when by daughter was about 4 months and she has always seemed very comfortable in it. She is now 20 months and it is still going strong. It has now become her TV chair and she is now able to make it rock on her own. She was never really excited about the animals (which do not face the baby) and I hardly ever used the vibrating feature, but it has served well.

This chair holds a child up to 40 pounds (my daughter is now 26 pounds) - much better than most other chairs on the market. I have had to tighten the bolts every now and then, and with that it has remained very sturdy. It is also very easy to adjust for the different stages.

I also like that the seat can be detached for washing - which has caused some fading of the fabric, and the warning label in the back has crumpled up (shrunk) after putting it into the dryer.

Still, I think this chair was excellent value for the money and would recommend it to anyone who does not want to have to purchase 2 or 3 seating options before your baby reaches two!

Customer Review: Better Than a Bouncer !!!
Summary: 4 Stars

This may need to be put away for a while when your baby gets very active, it can flip forward in the rocker position, as some other parents have noted. but a regular bouncer will flip forward as soon as baby is sitting upright and then its forever useless. This product will definately be more useful past 5-6 months than a bouncer is, if they enjoy it and you can stay close by they should be fine, otherwise bring it back out when they are getting around better and don't require the safety strap.

Overall this is a cute, engaging product, with great colors and features. With my first baby the bouncer was pretty much a waste because by the time she was really interested in the toys that hung from it she was starting to sit up and I had to sit right with her and push her back when she leaned too far forward. None of the bouncers are safe once baby can sit up. This one continues to be quite stable for a sitting baby, in the locked position, the rocking part in my opinion is not a great idea in during that transition from just sitting, to really getting around.

A great improvement on this chair would be to allow it to rock without it rocking all the way forward, but nothing prevents it from rocking all the way and flipping over.

Also as has been mentioned, the toy bar is a little disapointing, it is pictured correctly on Amazon, showing the velcro tabs which faces the cow the wrong way, and would be challenging to attach any alternate toys to. On the Target site the picture shows loops to attach the toys to which is not the way it is made.

Customer Review: nice for long term use
Summary: 4 Stars

I have to say that I tend to be an impulse buyer, though what mother doesnt see something in the store and think it would be nice to have for their child. After going through MANY seats, rockers, bouncers ect. each had nice ideas though just not an all in one kind of item.

whats nice about this chair/rocker is that you can use it for alot longer then many other items like it. My 3 year old loves to use this chair when my 4 month old isnt in it.

I have read that many others have had the problem of it tiping over...though it has a deep seat, not so deep that your child gets "lost" in it and not shallow for them to really slip down...you have to have the belt fit just right so that the belt holds the child. with that done right the child doesnt realy lean too far, it also has little "nubs" to help stop it.

The vibrations is a nice soothing idea as well..helpful when he's really cranky and doesnt want to cuddle. I would use the vibrations when the "kickstand" is out in the craddle position.

The seat back has two positions though it really doesnt make a difference what setting you have it in...it doesnt move that far...

I personally dont think that the toy arch is too close to the childs head... though i do think that having the toys zalcroed to the arch should be changed to the links so that you can have more of a varity of toys to stimulate the child.

Over all I do like this chair...It is a nice chair/rocker to have...you do in a sence get your moneys worth...I hope this was helpful in some way...

Customer Review: Good...BUT....still needs improvement
Summary: 3 Stars

Okay...I bought this rocker because my son has outgrown his swing by 5 mos. He had acid reflux and had to always be at a 30 degree angle while sleeping so the swing was a big help to us...he would sleep there at night and take naps during the day. He also sat in the swing to watch his baby einstein videos. When my son reached 20 pounds and the swing was getting a little too small for him...I had to go search for a new chair for him....

Couple of things...this chair is more suitable for BIGGER babies. I would hold off putting an INFANT in this seat as it will be too roomy for a newborn and IT DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH CUSHION to support a newborn's head and body. As of now, I use this rocker for SHORT NAPS AND PLAY TIME...my husband and I don't feel comfortable letting our son sleep in it for a long period of time because of the fact that it does not have ENOUGH CUSHION TO SUPPORT OUR SON'S BACK!!!!!!! His back curls while in the rocker unlike the swing which is made of harder material and provides back support for babies.

There are things I like about this product...the big plus and probably the feature that made me buy it is the fact it can hold up to 40 pounds...it is very roomy and can be a great chair for toddlers....

If only fisher price would make the chair itself with sturdier material (to provide support for a baby's developing head and body) and provide an attachable/detachable cushion for newborns...THIS WOULD MAKE THIS PRODUCT SOOOO AWESOME THAT I WOULD PROBABLY GIVE IT 10 STARS...till then...it needs some improvement ...

Customer Review: Quite Useful
Summary: 5 Stars

I registered for and received this chair when my son was born. It has been wonderful, and I only have a few minor problems with it, which are listed below. My son didn't use it much the first few months, but once he was a bit bigger he started sitting in this chair. He loved it from the beginning, and now that he is two he still uses it for watching Seseme Street etc. I even used it in the reclined position for his naps until he was over a year old, because he hated his crib, and liked the feeling of cuddling it gave. When his baby sister was born, I knew he wasn't ready to give up his chair, so we got one for her too, and she already uses it frequently at 6 months. I can feed her in it as well as let her play and entertain herself with the toy bar. It washes in the machine well, and air-drys quickly. You can also machine dry it, but that makes me nervous, so I usually drape it over something instead. I have only a couple of problems with it. One - The large velcro piece on the back tends to attach to the soft cotton lining instead of the other piece of velcro, which means it tears a bit off every time you take it apart to wash it. Two - Once a baby gets a certain size, you can no longer use the strap, because if they want to get out, they'll just turn the thing inside-out and topple the chair on top of themselves. Three - On this new model, the toys on the toy bar attach by one little strip of velcro, instead of link-a-doos like the old one. That makes interchanging toys impossible, because the toys have to have the matching piece of velcro on them.
