I recieved three bouncy seats as gifts for my first child and this was by far the best one. It was the only one that leaned back far enough to put him in after he was born, the others sat up too much and he'd slide forward. I used it until he was too mobile and then brought it back out for my daughter. It ended up being a life saver, literally. She had an allergy to milk when she was born and would vomit constantly, her gag reflux was too immature and she wasn't able to spit it out, so she needed to be propped up at all times. I tried the wedges for her cradle and crib, and she would just slide down. I was frustrated and anxious about her sleeping until I started putting her in this seat to sleep. It was the best idea ever, it kept her upright enough to not choke, but leaned back enough so she wouldn't slide. We all were able to sleep and everyone knows how important that is with a new baby!Customer Review: Great chair..

We love this. I originally purchased the Baby Papasan and she hated it. I was disappointed because it has no toys and is useless after the first couple months. I bought this chair because it grows with her and had decent toys. She constantly takes the toys off and pulls the bar out, but that's not really a big deal. She likes the rocker, she doesn't care for the vibrate, but as someone else said, jsut don't turn it on.
I was in the shower one day and she was crying, not unusual when I'm not giving 110% of my attention to her. I peaked out from the curtain only to see her basically falling out of the seat forwards, only being held in by the straps behind her knees. I will say I was impressed because the seat DID NOT tip over on her, she was literally push up style hands on the floor.
I like this seat, you just have to be watchful and not let the seat be a babysitter!

We just had a new baby boy and I feel like a new mother! My older son is now 14 years old and boy have baby products changed since then! I seriously considered comments and reviews when deciding which items I wanted, which I could live without, and what was an absolute must have. So I hope you find my review just as helpful while deciding on purchases. I couldn't be more pleased with this portable rocker. At first I wasn't too excited about the colors and theme pattern but once I looked past that, I think the chair is wonderful! What I like most about it is the position it sits my newborn. Most bouncers/chairs sit up too high for a newborn to be comfortable and they often lean over to one side. This chair reclines back far enough that he is almost in a laying down position and yet not too close to the ground. It's perfect height. Just a word of warning. I ordered this item and today it was left on my door in completley battered condition. While this may sound like a UPS issue, the bottom line is Babies R Us was responsible for preparing the package and said package had no outer boxing, meaning it was pulled from the shelf, a label was stuck on it and it was left to the mercy of UPS. The box had obviously been opened and taped shut, in a very poor manner, at least once. To ship any package in the same form you would pull it off the shelf at a store is pathetically irresponsible and unacceptable. I've arranged for a refund and pick up from UPS to send it back and will just get the item wherever I can find it and put it in the car. I wouldn't third party order anything from Babies R Us again and Amazon (who I've ordered probably hundereds of various items from) was made to look bad by representing them. This is a really great chair. We bought this before our daughter was born and we use it all the time. The batteries seem to die pretty quickly (about every 2 weeks) if you use the vibrate feature but that's really not a such a big deal. There are so many velcrow straps and loops on it that toys can go everywhere to keep her happy and playing for quite a long time (these velcrow loops are also very handy to keep binkie in one place when she's not in the mood to have it). My daughter is sitting up and we don't have any tipping problems that others seem to have. If I had to complain about this chair it would be that it does not travel well. When we travel out of state to see the family, it takes up so much room but we use it so much that it is something we just cannot go without. My daughter loves this chair above all other things that she has. I would highly recommend this to all parents!
