Customer Review: Not bad, needs an adjustment

I received this chair as a shower gift from a friend's mom whose daughter loved it! My 1 month old loves to look at the three animals and enjoys the "Old MacDonald" tune. The one frustrating aspect to me was that the critters face away from the child. Originally, I just attached them facing our daughter, but it hangs awkwardly that way. So, last night my husband and I took the bar off and the blue attachment piece. We were able to slide the cow print padding off the wire bar and turn it around before CAREFULLY resliding it on in the correct direction. (There's foam in the middle with a thin hole that can easily be punctured as you try to restring it... just slow down, back up, and try again.) Now, we have the cow and pig facing the correct direction so our daughter can enjoy them without our original make-shift attachment job coming undone!
We're not to the rocking stage yet, so we haven't experienced the tip factor.

I have had this seat since my son was born. It was a life saver, in many ways. I used it when he was sleepy (by putting the bar to make it more like a bed). My son sits in it, naps, plays, etc. But I didn't give it all the stars because I want to issue a small warning...when your child gets to be 12 months + watch them when they are in this seat, it can and will flip over. My son is 13 months now, and I really didn't worry too much when he was in his chair because I didn't think it could tip. but he was reaching to get something, and he just reached too far, and the whole chair tipped over on top of him. He was mostly scared, and so was I. I just want to let people know that when their child really starts to grab for things further away, keep in mind that this chair can tip. So I think this is a wonderful chair when they are smaller, but he won't be using his anymore because it just isn't suited for him.Customer Review: Please read this before buying...

Overall this toddler rocker is great...just that, the fabric of the chair isnt the best since I notice that my son back head is starting to shed. Most babies can't sleep on certain sheet or fabric or else your child will have some bold spots around his or her head. I put a soft fabric where his head will be placed before letting him sit on the rocker.
My son loves the cow and especially the other two animal. I usually let him play in there for a little but not for long. The reason for buying this is because he can use it later in life as a rocking chair while he can read a book. Hopefully by then the fabric won't give him bold spot. I'm glad my mother told me about certain fabrics that baby shouldnt be laying on or else my son have some unwanted bold spots. Thanks MOM.
after purchasing this item, check to see if your child is loosing his or her hair by sitting in the rocker. That's all.

This seat was very easy to put together and it is well made. I do agree with some of the other reviews - if your child is starting to sit up and leans over too far, he could topple over. But keep an eye on your child and they will be completely safe. Do not leave him unattended. That might be a good time to use an exersaucer and put the chair away for a while until they are more able to get around by themselves. This model also has an extra stopper on the front legs to prevent the chair from going too far forward. I also have the Learning Patterns model and it doesn't have the extra stopper (I love it too). The only thing that I don't like about this model is that the toys are attached by a velcro strip so that you can't change the toys out. I would have rather had something to hook onto. The Learning Patterns model does have hooks so that you can change the toys. I would recommend either model.Customer Review: Nice bouncer but not for a toddler

I know it advertises that it can be a toddler chair, not really. But still my son loved it till he out grew it, and I have even bought it for friends as shower gifts.
CON:
My only real problem with it is when my son wanted to sit up I of coarse changed the incline, but he couldn't play with the toys any longer! If he did they would hit him in the face when ever he moved and it rocked! So the toys essencially became useless, for awhile it worked to wrap them once around the loop, but now he is strong enought to rip the off.
PRO:
Great for infants, I used it as a feeding chair when traveling when he was older, he was too little for the hotel highchairs but the bouncer worked perfect. Also even though he has outgrown it, be still loves to play with the toys that came with it, and the music from the cow still works, even after 7 mo's of constant pulling lol.
