We have been using this rocker since our baby was 2 months old. This is a wonderful thing! He does not like sitting in his car seat (it's a bit too snug for him), so we take this one with us when we go visit our friends. It's light, easily washable, you can attach toys close to baby's hands, the safety belt is long enough.
We do not use vibration function since our baby does not like it but we use rocking a lot. We put our baby in front of a TV in it when he watches a baby program.
I read a review about a baby who fell down and I'll make sure that if I leave my son alone in the chair, I put it in a sturdy position, so he would not fall.

I ordered this Infant to Toddler Rocker for my 6 month old Grandson. He is just about out of his Boppy seat and I loved that this will hold up to 40 lbs. My daughter was so impressed with it that she bought one for her home (I'm in NJ and she is in CA). It was very easy to assemble and the baby was very comfortable in it. This rocker has been so helpful to me when I need my hands free and a safe place to put my daughter! I registered for this because I knew three other babies that had it and loved it. We started using it when our daughter was one month old. Friends/family had stopped coming around to help each day so I could no longer just hand the baby off when I needed to eat, go to the restroom, or do the dishes, etc., and baby would scream if I put her down. So I started putting the rocker next to me and rocking it with my foot while I made/ate my meals each day or typed at the computer. Now that she's older (12 weeks) and content for longer without being rocked, I can even put her in her rocker just outside the shower and talk/sing to her while I get ready. She's never really liked the vibration feature as the other babies I know do, but she loves to rock. If you place it on a hard floor baby can rock herself when she kicks. The toy attachments still seem to overstimulate her at this point (she stares at them way too hard and gets very frustrated) so I just dont use them. Since I breastfeed, I still hold my baby most of the day, but when I need to get things done where she can still be right next to me this rocker has been a real life saver. Even if you're a big proponent of slings and wraps as I am, there are times when it's safer not to "wear" your baby, e.g. eating, cooking, restroom. A couple things I recommend: put a soft hand towel or blanket under a younger baby's head in it because the fabric is a little rough on their heads/hair if they move around a lot--just be sure you're with them at all times if you do. If your baby falls asleep in the rocker, you'll probably want to roll up a soft cloth and place it between their head and the frame so their head and neck are supported.Customer Review: Good for newborns

I got this as a gift and it was great for my newborn son. It has a recline position which let him sleep comfortably. Now my son is three months old and gets bored in it but is still good for when I need to set him down. I would recommend this product for newborns especially. This has got to be one of the best baby products we purchased!
In between baby one and baby two - which was 4 years, most things did not last or were simply not useful so we got rid of them...this however stuck around!
Our oldest was 9 months when we got this...is worked great, was portable and she loved sitting in it - the rocking motion or vibration motion was relaxing; the toys entertaining.
4 years later we still have it and she still uses it , albeit without the toy bar. It more than accomodates a 4 year old, and she will sit in this to read, watch tv - and it works perfectly! Now our new baby is getting use out of it - it has held up to numerous washes, so looks pretty good!
We are now going to buy another so they each have one - for the price you would not expect it to last or work so long, but it does making this a steel!!
This is simple, classic and you certainly get a great deal for the price!!
