Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat, Red/WhiteCustomer Review: Very versatile seat Summary: 5 Stars
I LOVE this seat. We never bought a high chair because we just don't have the space and I think they're bulky/tacky. When my son was 4 months old we bought this seat for him to join us at the dinner table (upgrading from his bumbo which sat on the table). He was able to sit with assistance well and the seat was perfect. I also use this seat for a friend and my nephew whom I watch. So far we've used it from ages 4 months-18 months and it fits everyone perfectly. Great construction, all plastic so no cloth to get gross, easy to wipe down. I can see this seat being used for years to come (until everyone who eats at our house is big enough to sit at the table w/o a booster). We actually ended up buy a couple of extras for all the small guests we have for holidays and such.
Pros:
Adjustable legs--this puts everyone at the right height for table conversation
Snap in tray--easier to wash (also have cons about the tray)
Compact--easy to pick up and take to a restaurant (son can't really reach the table in a high chair so this is perfect)
Harness straps--these are great for my adventurer who likes to try to get out of any/everything.
Cons:
Snap in tray--this is a great concept, except it snaps off too easily for curious little hands, we can't use it anymore
Cup holder in tray--again, great in concept, except that most of our sippy cups don't fit in it and the toddlers get mad that their cups fall off when they try to put them in the too small cup holder
Cover for snap in tray--great in concept, except that it's not a seal or even close, if there's food on the tray and you cover it, it will still leak/fall out if you don't keep the seat perfectly upright
Customer Review: Mom, Dad & baby love it! Summary: 5 Stars
I don't have anything negative to say about this booster seat! Here are the high points:
1) Goes well with our decor. We live in a small Brooklyn apartment where the dining room is part of the living room. The colors totally blend with the surroundings and our cherry wood dining set, so we don't have to deal with a glaring baby seat in the middle of everything. I can't believe there is such a well functioning booster out there is such adult-friendly colors. Fun for baby to see and nice for mom & dad's home. The red plastic is a bit more pink than what is pictured in the image, but it is still a nice deep, rich red. Still goes well with our deepest brick reds in the room.
2) Great space saver. It was fast and easy to attach to one of our dining chairs and it is very stable. The chair still slides under the table when the booster is not in use. So great not to have an additional piece of furniture like a high chair in our small space!
3) Easy to clean. Not only are there no seams for food to get stuck in, but the snack tray makes it an even easier clean up. When Isaac is done eating, we just do a quick once-over the chair with a washcloth and remove the snack tray for washing. Nice not to have to remove the whole tray which is more cumbersome to deal with in our small sink.
4) Great fit for baby. When Isaac first started eating solids, he was on the small side (about 13.5 lbs). The tray and buckle straps were a perfect fit and he was clearly stable and comfortable. He loves meal time!!

Customer Review: Great booster for growing child! Summary: 5 Stars
I am very impressed with this booster seat! We transitioned to this one when our standard-issue high chair just became too cumbersome to position and clean. The traditional high chair was more padded but I gladly traded that for ease of clean-up. This little booster has everything I need: adjustability all over the place and easy maintenance. The straps are durable and adjustable, the tray positioning is adjustable, and the chair height is adjustable to three different positions. I like the option of sticking the tray straight into the dishwasher for cleaning but I've never done that as it's so easy to clean just in the sink. Also, it comes with a cover for the removable tray. I imagine this can be used for preparing a meal for your little one and then sticking it in the fridge for the sitter, in addition to just keeping the surface clean. So far, we have not taken it out with us to restaurants but I think we'll be doing that very soon as it was very easy to attach to our chair and adjust for a nice and tight fit. The seat has a little formed bump area that fits between the baby's legs to also help keep them in place, in addition to the 3-point belt. The tray does not extend out around the baby quite as much as a traditional high-chair but I don't see that as a problem. The legs are reinforced on the bottom with rubberized grips to hold onto the adult chair or surface.
Honestly, I wish I would have put this seat on my baby registry instead of the big, bulky, and hard to clean otherone that I wound up selling anyway. I highly recommend this little booster.
Customer Review: Good purchase Summary: 4 Stars
We chose this booster seat to use as our "high chair" for feedings based on the positive reviews it received on Amazon and a limited amount of space available in our dining area. It is a decent choice for us; however, there are a couple of difficulties we've experienced with this seat.
The first problem is that, at times, the tray doesn't snap on easily. One side will snap easily, then the other side can be difficult. With a squirmy or fussy baby, this can be frustrating. Not sure if it's a defect with our seat or if others have experienced this too. Luckily, after multiple attempts with position changes, it snaps and is very secure.
Also, being slightly above average in height (6' and 5'7) and owning a standard-sized kitchen table and chairs, the booster seat sits so low that we have to slouch to feed the baby, or build up the base to raise the height for comfort. Neither are great options, so beware to taller parents!
Besides these two issues, we find this seat a good value. It keeps the baby safe and secure, seems comfortable for the baby, is very easy to wipe down, is easily transportable to use at Grandma's house or at restaurants, and comes with dishwasher-safe divider tray with a cover. Also, for those of you without a lot of space or who just don't want a huge high chair sitting around, the booster chair slides easily under our table (while secured to the chair) when not being used. No one is aware it's there until we pull the chair out. (This is the positive side to the negative comment mentioned above.) Overall, a good product and value.
Customer Review: Excellent space saving alternative to a high chair Summary: 5 Stars
I was trying to decide between a high chair and a more portable "booster" seat option. I didn't want a regular plastic high chair and knew I would have to spend quite a bit more to get a decent wooden one. I also wanted something that wouldn't take up too much space in our dining room. A friend who had purchased a high chair and booster recommended the FP Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat. I absolutely love it - great function, esp for the price! This particular style has three height adjustments which I really like. I know there's another FP version that does not have the height adjustments so you'll want to make sure you are ordering the right one if height adjustment is important to you. I also like the three adjustments on the tray. It comes with two trays and a cover. We use the white tray for feeding. If we want the baby to sit with us for dinner and she's already done feeding, we use the main tray and put toys on it for her. I find the attachment system to be very secure. The webbing can be a bit difficult to adjust, but I think that's better than having it move too easily and slip when the baby moves around. I did see reviews of chairs tipping over with the booster attached. My little one recently put her foot against the table and pushed back. If she were older and stronger, I could see where this would be a problem, but I don't think this is so much a problem with the booster chair as the main chair to which it is attached. I would definitely recommend buying this item and believe it could serve as your primary (and only) feeding chair.
