Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat, Blue/Green/GrayCustomer Review: Works great Summary: 5 Stars
I registered for this seat based on many good reviews and I am happy with it. My husband and I wanted to go out for dinner and left this booster in the car in case the restaurant chairs don't accommodate this booster seat.
We thought we'd first try the standard, wooden high chair but my 9-month old (weighs 17 pounds) was still much too small to comfortably sit in it and could barely see above the dining table.
We went back to the car to retrieve this booster seat and it made such a difference. My son was able to now sit at the right height (adjustable) at the table and fit comfortably well in this booster. Even the waitress was impressed that the booster was more accommodating than the high chairs the restaurant provided. It was quick to wipe down.
A quick note is that it is bulky to carry if you're alone having to carry along a diaper bag and the baby. Having my husband to share the load was more convenient. Also, my husband had an easy time setting this up on the chair with little guidance from me. I simply told him the back strap and the under-the-seat strap...and voila, he was ready to put the baby in.
I am tempted to by a second one so that I could leave one in the car and one at home to replace my high chair (a bulky peg perego prima pappa high chair that has many inconvenient crevices for food to get stuck).
Customer Review: Easy to clean and very portable; awesome seat! Summary: 5 Stars
We love this booster seat. I got it when my son was 6 months old and we are still using it for him at 16 months of age. It folds up very nicely and one of the straps to hold it onto the chair doubles as a shoulder strap for carrying. It is very easy to clean and having a cover for the tray is nice so that the tray doesn't get dirty when you travel with it.
It has a very nice restraint system. It is easy to remove the tray completely to use it as solely a booster seat. It's very durable and has withstood a lot of abuse over time.
I've used this seat everywhere with my son: restaurants, over at friends' houses, as a spare seat when we have lots of babies over at our house, and it even fits nicely on a those folding captain's chairs while we are out camping. It is just a really awesome product and I am so glad I bought it!

Customer Review: Goodbye highchair! Hello booster! Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using this booster since my baby was 4 months old. He fits in it very securely, with the tray right up against his body so that food doesn't spill on his lap. It also helps keep him upright. My highchair seemed way too big for an infant just starting solids, and the tray was too high and too far away from him. Now that he is using his fingers to eat, the booster is far less messy than the highchair. It is also a snap to clean, I just wipe down the seat and throw the tray into the dishwasher. Plus, my baby enjoys sitting at the table with the rest of the family.
I also use it for a toddler that I babysit for. She sometimes uses it without the tray, and I push the seat right up to the table. You can adjust the height from the bottom if needed. My four year old even likes to use it sometimes and fits in it even though she is 38 pounds! It truly can replace the highchair all together, since it can be used for several years, takes up far less space, and is easier to clean.
I have tried the Safety 1st Fold and Go booster, but the tray was very difficult to get on and off. You had to push it in first and then up, and I was very afraid of hitting the baby in the face with it. After only a couple of uses, part of the tray snapped. So I returned it for the Fisher Price booster and have been thrilled ever since!
Customer Review: Save Money on a High Chair! Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this chair when our son started on solids. Every high chair we looked at was either flimsy, clunky, too hard to clean, or way too expensive - so we opted for this booster seat as a compromise. If it didn't work as a high chair, at least we have a portable seat when we needed it and we're only out $25! So far it's worked great! Our son is 10 months old and this is still his only high chair.
I love it because it's a great multi-tasker (Alton Brown would be so proud!) Since it attaches to any chair with a back you can take it anywhere - restaurants, grandma's house. And at home it doesn't take up half of your kitchen! But don't forget that it's only as stable as the chair it's attached to!
I only have one complaint and that's the removable tray. Once your child figures out how to take it off - forget about it! The front (closest to the child) is the only part that snaps on, so all they have to do is reach over and grab the opposing side and then the whole thing comes off! But this is a pretty minor inconvenience - the rest of the tray is very easy to clean. The top to ours is in a closet and I haven't missed it!
Another tip - make sure to put something underneath the booster seat if you can. A towel goes a long way toward keeping your chairs from getting completely covered in baby food!
Customer Review: Can't beat it for the price. Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased two of these boosters, one for my 2 yr. old, the other for my 1 yr. old., just so I could get rid of a VERY used high chair. Even though both boys are at different stages (and are different sizes), the seats work. It's also nice to have them both sitting at the table with my husband and me instead to the side in a high chair, which was taking up too much room. I took the tray off of my 2 yr. old's seat so he eats right at the table, and left my 1 yr. old's on since he isn't as tall. The seats attach securely to my dining chairs, so I've never worried about them falling out when I walk away. Having the option of removing the upper tray to throw it in the dishwasher is great, too. It would be nice if they were just a tad larger and had a higher back. But even so, they don't take up much space on the rare occasion I remove them from the dining chairs and place the boys in them on the floor when we have company over. You can't beat these booster seats for the price -- I highly recommend them for parents, grandparents' homes, travel or other times you might want to have an extra (CLEAN) eating place on hand for your baby. I haven't had a reason to use the tray lid, but I'm sure when we travel, that feature will come in handy. By the way, the snap-on tray and straps will even keep a fidgity 2 yr. old in place.
