I searched for a colorful mobile with the characters that face downward so my baby could see them! It annoys me how most mobiles are made for babies, yet the mobile characters face outward for the parents to see. This was perfect...and I love the classical music played. Quality of sound is good. There are two volume controls which I like. Also, there is a sound activated feature so that when your baby cries for more than 8 seconds, the mobile turns on. Not too effective on my young baby, but I could see where that feature might calm an older baby who cries. My baby loves the mobile and smiles at the creatures as they move around. Very easy to set up. Would definitely recommend. The only thing better would be to have it remote controlled, which lost it one star. Still a great item!Customer Review: Poor design, defective parts

I received this mobile as a baby shower gift and was very excited to set it up on my baby's crib. This mobile has many parts that screw together. Unfortunately the mobile we received was missing an attachment point (for the straps that hold it to the base). I returned the mobile since it wouldn't be able to hang securely from the crib. My husband and I were both disappointed by the design of the battery pack-it is difficult to snap back, and I felt like I was going to break it-after putting in batteries. In addition, several of the small screws are located in these plastic tunnels, so it is impossible to put the mobile together if you have a 4-n-1 Phillips screwdriver.Customer Review: smart but not enough.

My 3rd baby is 6m/o and he still wakes up at night, so I have to put music for him and rock him till he goes back to sleep, so we thought this would replace me, it does have a sensor that starts sending music after seconds of crying, but it shuts off after few hours, so if my baby wakes up after 3 hours it won't work, so what is the use?
if I wanted the music for the time when I am awake, then I would just put the CD on and it goes for an hour. so this doesn't work for me, it should stay on all night... I don't care if it is going to use more battaries because I need to sleep.
the music is so monotone, very slow almost sad, it could have been better..

We got this as a gift last year for our then 3 month old at Christmas. We loved it as a mobile, but when she started sitting up we've been using it with the mobile off just for the music. Now she is one and I've noticed that if I don't turn on the music sometimes she does it herself! The buttons are easy for her to push and very colorful. She even taught me that if you press the same button again the music goes off! That may have been in the directions but I didn't read them. I think we've changed the batteries out twice in the last 10 months so that's not too bad considering the music plays one round almost every night.Customer Review: love it!!!

This has been so useful for our almost-5month-old daughter. The music (on low setting) & soft light is calming. The sensor works well & we keep it on medium setting; she is a LOUD crier, so you'll have to figure out what works w/ your baby. It's especially useful for when she's sleepy & tired but having a little trouble falling asleep...the music will play for a little while, soothing her, and the sensor stays on (I think, for about 3 hours) in case she wakes up. We plan to continue using it after she's able to sit up on her own (by taking the mobile part off) so she can still benefit from the music & soft light.
