Baby Products Reviews of Fisher Price Cradle n Swing, My Little LambCustomer Review: i do love this swing! Summary: 4 Stars
We had the same fisher price swing just the older version (had a bird theme and different colors otherwise the same swing), and our first son loved it! It was a must have and I also had a daycare baby that loved it as well. Her parents said that she wouldn't even sit in her swing as home. But a month after our second was born, the motor burnt out! We wanted one like it but there are very few cradle 2 way swings out there. We ended up finding this one and of course we love it, we are just hoping the motor issue isn't something that we are going to go through with this one as well. But it came fast was super easy to put together, and our little one was back to swinging in a matter of days from when the first burnt out. Oh and it is so cute!(we did find out the motor could be replaced for fifty dollars, but for under a hundred we got a brand new one and way less wait)
Customer Review: Love this swing Summary: 5 Stars
I love this swing. I bought this when my daughter was almost two months old and I'm so glad that I did. She loves to look around at things and this sits up high enough for her to do that without being held. She also likes the mobile and will sit in the swing and laugh and giggle as it moves around. I like to use the sided to side motion on the lowest speed setting. Its perfect for getting my little one to fall asleep when she is being fussy and I know she's tired but she won't settle down when I'm holding her. I've noticed lately though that I have to give the swing a little nudge when I first start it up or it takes a while to get going. I don't know if this has to do with my daughter starting to weigh more or the motor is just becoming sluggish. I still love this swing though and Amazon was definitely the most affordable place to purchase it.
Customer Review: Grunting Noises From Motor - Manufacturer Says "It is Normal" Summary: 1 Stars
We registered for this item and a good friend bought it for us. I was very excited to receive it and assemble it. Assembly was quite easy. After I was done, I turned the music on and it sounded pleasant. The surprise though was just around the corner. The moment I turned the swing on, the grunting started. In fact, the grunting was so loud that you can't possibly hear the music unless you increase the volume considerably. Called the manufacturer, got a nice lady who wanted to hear the noise to know what I was talking about. I thought for sure she is going to say: no baby can sleep or relax with this noise. Instead her answer was: Oh, that is normal! Huh, you got to be kidding me. This is going back, thank you very much. Amazon thanks for your return policy, the piece of junk is in the box. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this swing!
Customer Review: Nice Swing Summary: 4 Stars
We purchased this swing for my second son who is now 3 months. We've had it for about a month now and don't use it too too much...mostly for the times when he wants to be in motion and I'm cooking dinner or his older brother needs me. I don't have any complaints about the product in regard to my son's comfort or how soothing it is to him, but it does eat batteries quite quickly. It's also really big, and even though the legs come in it's hard to move around to different rooms of the house. I had contemplated buying a travel swing, but went for this one because of the reviews. I am not confident I made the best choice for my situation. If you anticipate using the swing in different rooms of your house you may want to look into something a little smaller, especially if you are going to bring it up and down the stairs.
Customer Review: Great Swing - Needs to be plug in! Summary: 4 Stars
This swing has served us well. My son is now 8 months and has spent MANY hours in the swing. For a few months, he actually slept in it at night because it was the only way he would sleep! He still naps in it. You can read all the rave reviews about the swing in the other reviews -- I just want to point out my two biggest gripes.
1) The swing runs on batteries. Considering how much time my son has spent in this swing, I really wish it was a plug-in. I know the Zen swing is similar and plugs in. In retrospect, I wish I knew that because I would have purchased the Zen instead.
2) The swing only has a reclined setting on the seat. You can not sit your baby up when they are older to play with the toys. We have never used the toy bar.
Other than those two issues, it's a great buy and my son loves it.
