Baby Products Reviews of Fisher-Price Bath Center - Aquarium Ocean WondersCustomer Review: Dont' buy ! Summary: 1 StarsWe thought this bathtub would be great for our newborn son, but he was never comfortable in it : the sling gets very cold when wet, and the baby's back keeps bumping into the plastic part underneath. We only kept the toys that came with it and gave away the tub.
My advice is to buy a very simple tub such as Safety 1st, it's enough and frankly babies like them best !
Customer Review: WONDERFUL!! Summary: 5 StarsThis tub is absolutely wonderful. At first I was skeptical about spending double the cheaper models, but just for the hammock feature, it's worth it! Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the toys, too, but the greatest accomplishment of this little wonder is freeing her father and I from our bathtime anxiety! When she was small enough to be using the hammock we knew we were actually bathing her, but didn't have to worry about her security at all. (Little soapy babies are slippery!) Same deal with stages two and three. Wonderful product!!
Customer Review: Infant tub Summary: 3 StarsWe stopped using this tub when my daughter was about 2.5 months old (by then she was rolling front to back, back to front, both ways and was pretty much too tall for it). She had essentially outgrown it and it was just easier to get a foam pad and let her play with us in the regular tub with only a little water (easier too as one of us could be IN the tub, and another beside it).
However, for the first 2 months it was great, especially for new parents who may be tentative with their infant. You don't have to use much water, and the sling is very useful while the infants are still very small.
Could we have passed and just used the regular tub or large foam sponge? Probably. And I'm sure some babies will get more use out of it than others (ours is rather tall for her age). At this point it's just taking up storage space, but we'll probably pull it back out for the 1st few months of our next child.
Customer Review: Great tub...except Summary: 4 StarsMy son loves this tub and it has grown with him all along the way. The sling was great to start with and the hump has been great as he's learning to sit up. He loves the thing that hooks to the side so much so that we take it in the car with us...a great chew for him. My only complaint is that the orage rinsing cup has little pointy things all along the edge. Why would anyone do this? My son loves to grab and explore everyhing and I'm always afraid that he's going to poke himself in the eye or scratch himself with the points on the cup. Just a very bad design on this cup.
Customer Review: Good overall, best when baby is small Summary: 4 StarsAs a rule baby tubs are rather bulky and cumbersome. In the beginning I washed him on our bed with waterproof pads underneath and all was okay. As he aged and we moved to a house with glass doors in the tub, the handling of the tub became a bit tricky. If your baby has long legs once he/she gets older and can sit up, the bigger kid side will not comfortably hold them. The best most comfortable use imo was from newborn until pre sitting up. But again that's only if your baby has long legs. Gotta love the hammock style support for newborns though. A lifesaver for new parents who aren't yet too comfortable handling the baby. Enables you to support the neck, body etc and have the safety net underneath.
