My son's Great grandmother bought this swing to have at her house for my son he was around 4 months when she got it. He really didn't seem to enjoy it too much it didn't catch his attention and it was so low to the ground that I was constantally having to bend down so taking him out of it was a nightmare (granted I am 5'9 but it was still really hard to get him out of). She ended up getting rid of it after he was in it only 3 or 4 times.Customer Review: fantastic travel swing

This is one fantastic swing and I'd recommend it to Anyone! A word of caution, read the instructions CAREFULLY and if your baby is SUPER active (bouncing or swinging the unit without battery power), even under the weight limit, please discontinue use of the swing as the plastic angle bracket can wear and break. It took almost a year of hard wear for my daughter to wear it out, but Mattel/Fisher Price customer service is FANTASTIC. Even though the swing was out of warranty, they took it back with a FULL refund so we could get another one for our next child. Great company, excellent swing. Customer Review: So - so

My son really wasn't ever too thrilled with this. Maybe some babies like to be in a swing more than others? We already had the Leapfrog Learning seat for him and that was so much more entertaining from day one. It had a two speed adjustable vibration switch and also music and a display bar with colors and pictures and also lots of dangly objects to look at and eventually grab when able. The swing is also not very interactive for a baby over 3 months. There are two dangly things to grab but they don't really produce any reaction on the swing. If you have a very young baby that is lulled by a swinging motion then that's really what this seat is good for and that's why I purchased it. But, unfortunately my baby didn't really ever seem to care for it even for that purpose. Plus, I'm not sure why it's called a "take along swing". It doesn't fold up or become more compact in any way. It wld be very cumbersome and awkward to fit into a car versus the Leapfrog seat where you can actually take the learning bar off. Customer Review: This is a GREAT swing!

Although I never put our baby in this swing solely for the purpose of sleeping, she ocassionally fell asleep in it. You can then turn down the swinging level and save batteries (which are super easy to change, even while the baby is sitting in the swing).
It has varied swinging levels, which were nice when she was a newborn. Sometimes bigger swings startled our babies, but this one doesn't if set on a low setting, like two or three. It was just the right amount of movement for her.
Now at 3 months old, she loves to watch the lights. It can be set for either lights or no lights and just music. And, the two music choices are soothing and entertaining for her. She can also now pull on one of the side toys to turn the music on herself, although I'm not convinced this isn't just by accident. She doesn't even notice the adorable sea creatures in water on the sides. This may come later.
This is one of the baby items that I would not live without. It does fold flat for storage or travel, but we've never traveled with it. We just love that it doesn't take up much room.
And my favorite thing about it is that you can pick it up to move it while the baby is in it, with the handle on the top. This is really handy when your baby doesn't want you out of her sight.
