We've had this monitor about a month now, and have had great success. We live in Manhattan, so I was really worried about only having two channels or having a lot of interference, but it's been fine. Our cordless phone operates at a different frequency, and our neighbors' must too because I've never had any problem. The main reason for getting this one was the two-way talk feature. How nice to be able to reassure my son in the middle of the night without having to get out of bed!! (Okay, maybe just once or twice.) To be fair, we've never tried to use the parent set with the battery. We live in an apartment, so I'm never far away during naps and we just leave it plugged in. Still, we've had none of the problems I was worried about, and the sound is crystal clear. Very happy!Customer Review: Best of the Best

I believe this is one of the best monitors on the market! After reading reviews on various monitors I first bought the Sony monitor; however, after only a year of use, the battery died on the hand held portion of the monitor. Not being able to find a new battery, I decided to buy the Evenflo monitor. We love this monitor! The 2-way feature is fantastic. My husband and I can talk back and forth to each other without having to yell or run up and down stairs. I can also comfort my daughter by talking to her without going into her room. I have much better reception than the Sony monitor and a further range (even though the Sony monitor is suppose to have a longer range). Determining which baby monitor to buy was the most difficult decision in our baby-buying spree - it seemed that each monitor had mixed reviews. I'm glad that we finally decided to go with the Evenflo Whisper Connect. We have a 2400 sq. ft. two story home, and the monitor works everywhere in the house. There is no static at all. We have 2.4MHz phones, so there is no interference there. The monitor is very sensitive, so it took us a few days to tune out the benign coos and grunts. The only enhancement that I would suggest is an indicator for the volume. After doing the "can you hear me now" with my husband for several days, I just put it on full volume. I purchased this item for my elderly mother. She lives independently with a caregiver. This purchase was made so the caregiver could listen if my mother needs help during the middle of the night. The fact that it is a two-way, the caregiver can tell my mom that she's on her way to help her in the bathroom. I am more at ease knowing this product keeps my mom safe from falls even during the middle of the night. I would definitely consider purchasing another one for a baby shower. It's a shame they didn't manufacture this when my children were infants.Customer Review: great device

We have it already 3 weeks, it works very well, we can hear every little noise. The 2 way function also works well. We're very satisfied with it and sleep much better since we got it.
There are only two minor shortcomings: first, that the baby's unit isn't rechargable, so if you want to move it to where the baby sleeps during the day, for example, you have to plug it to a socket. And second, that once the parent's unit is recharged, it lasts only for one night, maximum two.
