I purchased this monitor for my 3 month old daughter's room (we have since used it all over the house!). I wanted a two way monitor, and am very pleased with this one. I can even hear the wall clock in my baby's room ticking on the monitor, it seems to be very sensitive. I was leary about getting an analog monitor with only two channels (interference). However, I have never experienced a problem with interference, and we live in a large complex with multiple families side by side. There is some interference with our cordless phone (a buzzing sound) but I knew that could happen before I purchased the monitor, and we don't use our home phone much. If I need to use the phone I just unplug the monitor for the moment. I also LOVE that the handheld is rechargeable! The unit will make an annoying sound when it needs to be recharged or is out of range, but I am able to walk outside with it as well. I couldn't imagine a monitor with better bang for your buck! We have 4 children, and I think we have owned every brand of monitor at one time or another. We tried the "Whisper Connect" products and were so impressed with the sound quality, we have purchased only that brand for our additional children.
We have found the 2 way feature especially useful. Our children are all under 6 years of age and are home full-time with me. It has been a tremendous time saver for me to be able to "talk" to them via the 2 way feature.
If I hear them arguing, I can speak to them over the intercom. They can also ask me questions, and I can call them to come to me when needed.
The sound quality is good. With many monitors, when the volume is turned up there is a loud humming sound which is VERY annoying, especially when you have 3 different monitors going. This monitor is virtually silent when no one is making noise in the room.

This monitor has an excellent range that can easily cover a home that is more than 4000 square feet, including outdoor areas as well. Of course, there is an eventual limit to the coverage area, but it has been more than sufficient for our needs. The monitor is very sensitive and will pick up practically any noise your baby makes, and the receiver emits a mostly clear (slight background static when the volume is turned up to its higher levels) sound. The battery life of the rechargeable receiver seems adequate, as we have never had an instance where the receiver ran out of power while we were using it. The ability to use the receiver to talk to your baby is a feature that can be very useful, and it works quite well in this product. Overall, we are very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.Customer Review: Love this monitor!

We've had this monitor about a month now, and have had great success. We live in Manhattan, so I was really worried about only having two channels or having a lot of interference, but it's been fine. Our cordless phone operates at a different frequency, and our neighbors' must too because I've never had any problem. The main reason for getting this one was the two-way talk feature. How nice to be able to reassure my son in the middle of the night without having to get out of bed!! (Okay, maybe just once or twice.) To be fair, we've never tried to use the parent set with the battery. We live in an apartment, so I'm never far away during naps and we just leave it plugged in. Still, we've had none of the problems I was worried about, and the sound is crystal clear. Very happy!Customer Review: More than a baby monitor

I bought this product to use with my mom who has recently moved in with me due to Parkinson's Disease. The two way feature is especially helpful. When she calls for me, I can immediately answer her, tell her where in the house (or yard) I am, and let her know how quickly I can be to her.
