Customer Review: Best car seat for the money
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great carseat. I did a ton of research before deciding that this was the best carseat for my daughter and I am very pleased!

The carseat is really cushy (we call it the baby recliner). I didn't think it was overly large. It actually fit in my backseat better than the Graco Snugride had, being that it was shorter although wider.

I haven't had any trouble with the straps, and I love the tightening wheel on the straps. The shoulder straps just slide up, so there isn't any thing to thread through. It is great and really ensures a much better and safer fit than our previous Graco.

The only drawback that I can see is that there is a slight learning curve with the top buckle, though after figuring it out it was no problem.

Also, just a general plug for Evenflo, when we first got the seat I thought it was missing the cupholder (come to find out, it was just hiding inside the carseat lining). I called Evenflo and got right through and was told they would send me one. We received it in three business days! It was the only time I have ever been pleased with a customer service line. Kudos to Evenflo for that!

All in all, definitely worth the money!

Customer Review: GREAT car seat for a 4-door sedan
Summary: 5 Stars

i just got this car seat delivered today. I am so pleased with my purchase. I reviewed several carseats and debated on which one to get for about two months. I finally settled on this one when the Safety 1st seat my husband bought for his truck wouldn't fit in my Civic allowing the front passenger seat to be used. I found that this seat allowed 4 to 5 inches for the front seat to go back which is the difference of being able to use the seat or not. I have not actually used the carseat with the baby yet, but wanted to come online and write a review for others to see that this is a GREAT carseat for a sedan. It's price is very reasonable too. It was also obvious to me when adjusting the latch system for rear-facing, and having access the seat under the fabric, that the fabric is much easier to remove than my husband's. (which is great when your child spits up) It has little clips that just come undone rather than the elastics that you have to play around with and follow the path to remove, like his carseat. It was very easy to level this seat as well, barely needing to prop anything under the seat as I would have if I stuck with the Safety 1st seat. Hope this review is helpful!

Customer Review: Great Seat!
Summary: 5 Stars

I have a 10 month old son & this was my first time buying a convertible car seat. I bought it based on the reviews and it is an absolutely awesome seat! I was able to install it myself. It was so simple. Adjusting the harness straps couldn't be easier. My son is totally comfortable in this seat. My mom also bought the same one for her Saturn, which I also installed, & it fits great in her car as well. I didn't have any problems getting the seat level or tightly secured. My only issue with the seat itself is the head support. It isn't stiff enough to actually support the head & my son's head slumps to the side when he falls asleep, but it has never slumped forward as I have read in other car seat reviews. Also, we have a Honda Element. The back seats of the Element are raised, so with this seat in the rear facing position, it's very hard to see over & around it when backing up or switching lanes, but I would chalk that flaw up to Honda & not the seat. All the car seats are pretty much the same height, so this would happen with any brand. In my mom's Saturn, it's very easy to see over & around. The back windows aren't obstructed at all in her car. I highly recommend this seat!

Customer Review: Works, fits, keeps the child safe.
Summary: 5 Stars

It works.

It fits, both the cars it is in as well as the baby/toddler that uses it.

It keeps the child safe. We have had this for a while now, about a year now. It has never been tested in an accident, but it has never let the child loose in the car either. It has never shown signs of wear, it has never not done as expected.

We have 2 of these and 2 Britax carseats for all the cars the child will likely be in (including grandparents cars). We find that there is really no difference between this and the Britax except for a few ease of use things.

The only drawback I know of is that this seat is HUGE. It is a monster. You cannot sit in the back seat next to it comfortably if this is in the middle seat. Aside from that the only other complaint I have is that the belt tightener system cannot easily be done by my wife, mother or mother in law with one hand, as we can with the Britax.

I have nothing else to say, it works, the child likes it, I appears to be made to last at least as long as we need it and unless tested in an accident I have no way to tell if it is somehow less desirable than our other seats.

Customer Review: Best seat for the money
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a great car seat and with it's specifications and sturdy design should last our son until the next milestone. I really like the look of the car seat and it seems to be comfortable for our son. He sits up higher than he did in his bucket/carrier. I was really surprised that it actually took up less room than our previous car seat, and leaves a comfortable amount of space for two adults in the backseat of our 5 passenger car.

My only disappointment was with the strap-adjusting tension knob placement. When in the rear facing position, it rests right up against the back of the seat, which makes it hard to adjust. Of course that issue will be remedied when our son is big enough to be forward facing. The overall quality and affordability of the seat is well worth this minor inconvenience for a couple of months.

The tension adjustment itself is a priceless feature and one that I required when we were ready to make this purchase. They grow so fast, and it is reassuring to know that our son is buckled in as tightly and comfortably as he can be - no matter how many layers of clothing (and without having to take the seat apart to make adjustments.)
