Baby Products Reviews of Evenflo Tribute V Convertible Car Seat - Big Brown PlaidCustomer Review: Evenflo carseat Summary: 5 StarsI got this seat for my 6month baby girl. She just got way to big for her baby seat. This is my 3rd child and this carseat is the best we have owned. Price was great also. It is soft and even looks nice.
Customer Review: good seat to travel with Summary: 5 Starssimple, lightweight (critical for us) and easy to install. all that we were looking for in a second car seat - especially one we can take w/ us when we travel.
Customer Review: Nice, light, but doesn't work Summary: 3 StarsNice, light, but doesn't really work, Trust me on this one -- we really wanted to like it and struggled with it. The overall design, fabric and weight are good for us, esp. weight since we don't own a car and drag this thing in and out of cabs. The big problem is it just doesn't fasten well -- the channel for stringing the seat belt is too narrow and has lots of plastic edges around it, so the seat belt buckle always sticks somewhere on the way in or the way out. Top clip that hooks it on the top is poorly designed, and clips on well but to unclip you must turn and neel on the seat every time and use both hands -- tough if you're also balancing a toddler and not fun in any case. And the all important strap that pull the shoulder and crotch harness tight has a cinch that just doesn't work. It not only sticks every time, it has a wide buckle on the backside of the seat that also sticks in a channel to narrow for it, and no matter how hard you pull on the cinch you simply cannot get it tight. I've ever tried two-handed with no baby and you just can't get it tight. Oh -- and did I ad they have 3 heavy metal clips they advise you to stow so they don't flip around, but the directions don't show you where and dumb me -- I can't seem to figure it out.
A for effort, Evenflo, but C- for design and execution.
