Customer Review: Great seat for the price!

When our three month old started fussing every time we put him in his infant carrier we decided to try moving him up to convertible seats. Originally, I thought I wanted the Evenflo Triumph with all it's bells and whistles but trying both this model and it out in the store, I prefer the Tribute. I found the straps easier to adjust and the width of the car seat on the Tribute more how I like it. For the price, it is great. It has cushion and is comfy for our little guy, the mechanism for installing the seat is easier to use that the mechanisms on our Graco infant carrier or our other convertible seat, a Graco ComfortSport.
The headrest is too high for my little guy so I have it (carefully) pinned lower rather than velcroed at the top of the seat but it works great. The harness clip is a little hard to operate, I bought a replacement, the one Evenflo uses on their higher end seats. My only real complaint is that I have to be very careful not to catch a little skin from his thigh when I snap in the buckles. I do not like that design. But for the price and the comfort level, I still think it is a great seat! He has been in it for about five months now and loves looking out the windows, and has just now hit the size we would have to move him out of the infant carrier (22 lbs). Overall, a great purchase.
