It keeps the little ones out of the kitchen. Very easy to install; put the screws in the four holes put the gate in place and turn the knobs on the screws until enough tension is created with the door frame. It took 3 or 4 days to get the hang of operating it one handed. You push the buttons in on both sides and slide the mechanism backwards. The metal is a little flimsy and can probably be bent if enough pressure is applied. Should not be a concern unless you have big dogs. A child of 4 or 5 may be able to bend it. Ours are 15 months and 1 month, so it should do the job for a long time. Excellent product as long as it holds up over the long run.Customer Review: overall - great- but dimensions uncertain

I really like this gate and the latch was not as difficult as other reviewers made it out to be. It took all of 1 day and my whole family could use it and still do with ease. My only complaint was the fact that the dimensions on the website were uncertain and it did not fit my bathroom door (gate too big) where I needed it. I ended up finding an alternative (wider)door and it fit our needs just fine. It is very sturdy, looks nice and was easy to install. I may buy another - I use them to keep my dog out of the litter boxes. I also loved the fact that it could be delivered straight to my door at no additional cost or hassle.......I love that!Customer Review: nice gate but has problems

We really like this gate. we have 2 kids who will be 2 and 4 pretty soon and after having several kitchen disasters I went and purchased this gate.
It is easy to install, looks nice (the cream color blends in well) the only reason I give it 3 stars is that the child lock spring worsk without pushing both red buttons. It is suposed to remain locked and only be able to be opened if you squeese the red buttons on both sides and pull back on the lock. Well the lock can be pulled back w/o the buttons being pushed.
But it is a heavy spring and would not be easy for a kid to just pull back anyway. It's nice and tall also.

We bought this for the door to our 2yr old daughters room once she transitioned to her toddler bed. It is nice and sturdy, seems to be very well made we love the taupe color. It is not wobbly at all. It took my husband 10-15 minutes out of the box to working. I love that we do not have to take it on and off to get through each time. The swing gate is easy for us adults to use but too difficult for my daughter to figure it out. I love it so much I am going back to purchase another one to use on the spare bedroom door!! Yes i did brush my toe against the bar once, now I know to step over it, not too difficult! Well worth the $34!!Customer Review: Improved our lifestyle

I can't believe I waited so long to get a walk-thru gate! We've been stepping over a non walk-thru baby gate. This one makes life easy! Not difficult to set up. Just need to adjust the pressure screws to the width of doorway. If you don't check the adjustment, the gate can be pushed open though it appears closed. Just test the gate after you think you have it adjusted til it doesn't pop open when pushed on unless you use the hand latch. Easy one-hand operation. Gate swings both ways. Color and style go well with most households. The bars are more stylish than typical baby gates. We use ours for our husky dog. Life's good!
