Customer Review: Good buy
Summary: 4 Stars

I got this when my son was around 6 months and I wish I'd gotten it earlier. I finally gave in and bought it because he was getting sick of just sitting or lying on the ground.
For a couple days he did not realize it bounced if he bounced, and he loved it even more when he realized this. The toys are great, some are just long enough to reach his mouth and he loves to chew on them. He figured out the spinning thing pretty quickly but does not understand the thing that squeaks when you push it.
I love the "B" with the "bee". Whenever he is holding it, I say "Bee!" in hopes that he'll understand and say it back to me some day :)
I have a problem with the seat, it's hard to get his legs to go into it easily because he bends them a little when you pick him up. I get one in and then I have to do this awkward thing to get his other leg in. But I'm not really sure what would help. My son is very tall for his age and if you start using it earlier you'll probably have a very long time before it's hard to get the legs in right.
It's great if you want to keep them entertained for a few minutes while you make lunch or take a shower but my son starts to scream after 20 minutes or so, which is fine, because they say you shouldn't keep babies in these things for long periods of time anyway.
My son is about to outgrow this (almost 30 inches) but I am going to milk it as long as I can.

Customer Review: Enjoyment Of This Product Depends On The Child
Summary: 4 Stars

All three of my children have used an Exersaucer. My oldest son loved his and would have stayed in it all day if I let him. My daughter did not enjoy being in it at all and my youngest son will stay in it for short periods of time. My youngest seems to enjoy his Jumperoo more as he is not really heavy enough yet to "bounce" in the Exersaucer. He does enjoy spinning himself around in the Exersaucer but jumping appears to be his favorite activity at the moment. The attached toys are okay, my kids all liked the spinning toys but were not that entertained by the other toys. The Exersaucers we previously owned held up well enough and were in good enough condition to be sold at yard sales after we no longer needed them. My daughter was a tall, thin baby and we had to "pad" the seat with a folded baby blanket wrapped around her abdomen to prevent her torso from rocking back and forth as the seat width is quite large. This does make the item good for larger, older babies. The Exersaucers held up well during use and were fairly easy to clean. The assembly was pretty easy as I did it myself in about 45 mintues. I did have to ask my husband to tighten the yellow plastic caps to get them to click into place correcty as they were a tight fit and required a lot of hand stregth. My youngest son will usually stay in his Exersaucer just long enough for me to make dinner so it serves its purpose for us!

Customer Review: Great Exersaucer, Great Price
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this Exersaucer for my 5 month old daughter who is now almost 7 months. I did a lot of research on various activiy centers and I wanted something that would entertain and wasn't too expensive. The other Evenflo exersaucers that I looked at were nice too, but I really didn't care for all the bells and whistles. Those cost twice as much and even more than this simple one. I have to say that this is a great buy. My daughter is on the small side so when I put her in it, I wrap a blanket around her for extra support. But she loves it and can happliy spend 40 minutes in it, sometimes even a whole hour. Now that she is getting bigger, she can reach the toys more easily and is beginning to spin herself around. I like that I can get more Switcheroos to change it up but I find that I can attach other toys as well with the Link-a-doos and that works fine. Assembly was pretty easy, except for the legs. It takes a little trick to attach them to the base and you need to make sure that it is firmly attached or the thing can collapse. Other than that, I am happy with this purchase and I am glad that it was available at its reasonable price. This would be a great shower gift too. If you are looking for an affordable exersaucer and do not necessarily want all those bells and whistles, I would highly recommend this.

Customer Review: These sure have changed.
Summary: 3 Stars

This is our third exersaucer. Our first and second ones were FANTASTIC, nothing fancy about them, our 3 month old kids all used them for a long time and loved them. I regret giving them away. This one however was defective right out of the box. I contacted Evenflo and they insisted it was the legs, I knew it wasn't but they decided to send out new legs anyway. I called them back and told them it was the base, it was warped, causing the legs not to make complete contact with the floor, no matter which surface and the thing wobbled all over. Anyway, they told me they couldn't send me a new base because this particular model is being discontinued, BULL! So, they told me to return it to the store. That's great customer service for ya, grrrr!

I always raved about Evenflo and their products, now I will no longer buy or recommend Evenflo products because of this incident. Thankfully my husband was able to rectify the warped base a bit so now it works fine, but for 45 dollars should we have had to tweak it to get it to work as it should have, NO!

Over all, if you get a good one, good, you'll love it as will your baby. The toys are cute, the baby is able to get great exercise and it's super cute. If you end up with a defective saucer, good luck dealing with Evenflo!

Customer Review: Purpose filling cheap toy
Summary: 4 Stars

My 5 month old has yet to try out her new Exersaucer as she is napping, but I felt the need to write a review now while I'm still angry from trying to assemble the darn thing. I realize I only spent $40, so you get what you pay for, but come on.... the manual is awful. I spent 20 minutes alone trying to force the spinning frog into place. My wounds will heal, but the gouges I made in the plastic will forever be a reminder to me of how difficult a procedure that was. Also when doing step 8, I found it made more sense to reverse the order and put the "spring dome" on first, then flip upside down, insert the spring, then the "upper leg assembly". Their way got me no where after about 10 min. My way was done in less than 2 minutes.

All in all, I think it's going to serve it's purpose. It'll be something for my daughter to play with and stay in a safe location when I can't pay 100% attention to her. Kids grow too quickly to invest too much into something they'll outgrow by next month. I just think Evenflo is a big enough company that they can spend the extra money to hire an intelligent person, like say maybe someone who's actually put together one of these, to write the instruction manual.
