Customer Review: Stays secure once you get it up

We have a new puppy and want to keep her confined to the kitchen. There is a 5' wide opening between the kitchen and the living room. I bought this gate because I didn't want to have to attach hardware permanently to my walls and I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a wood gate that would span 60 inches.
It's a little tricky to put up at first but once I got it up I was impressed with how securely it stayed in place. Once I got the hang of putting it up, I can do it pretty quickly. Once I figured out the 'secret' of folding it up (get the vertical bars unhinged before undoing the horizontal bars), taking it down was a snap. I also love that it folds so it can be easily stored out of sight when not in use.
For the price, I couldn't ask for a better product. I'm a bit concerned about my puppy tearing the mesh but so far that hasn't been a problem. But it's something to think about if you want it for a pet.

We purchased this gate to block of a rather wide entrance leading out of our family room to the stairs. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. At first I have to say it was the most confusing gate to set up, I definitely needed the manual to figure it out but after doing it a few times I got the hang of it. It is super sturdy which suprised me since it is a portable pressure mount gate but neither of my big boys (twins 16months) can knock it down and boy have they tried. I also love the color as it fits perfectly with our decor, neutral tones. It is nice looking even though it is mesh/fabric and the price is GREAT too! It does take a little while to set up but we just leave it up now b/c we have another way to enter/exit that has a hinge gate. It would be nice if you needed it to travel too as if folds in half and then again and comes in a carrying case that would make it easy to stow in the car or pack for the plane.Customer Review: Wonderful Pressure Gate

I have never reviewed a product....that's how much I like this gate! It's amazing. Let's just start by saying, I also don't like pressure gates. It always seems that you can't get them tight enough, or that they mark the walls. So when I needed a pressure gate for the bottom of our stairs in our basement, and it needed to be extra wide, I struggled with the decision of which one to purchase. I came across this one, and decided to try it. I absolutely love it! It is super easy and quick to put up, and just as easy to take down. If you read the directions, it comes down in a breeze. It stores away in a nice soft sided bag, which also makes it easy for taking to a grandparent's house. The gate gets very tight against the walls without leaving any marks. Our little girl shakes it very hard and it doesn't even budge. You also can't beat the look of it, or the price. If you buy this gate, you won't be sorry...Customer Review: Wish I had it a long time ago...

I just received this gate yesterday and set it up for the first time today. I did have to read the directions a couple of times before it made sense, but now that I understand, the gate is super easy to set up and take down. It is also very sturdy and I know my kids won't be able to knock it down. I previously used a gate with a swinging door which was nice but it was not nearly as sturdy and everyone kept tripping over the bar on the bottom. With this gate I don't have the convenience of opening a door to walk through, but it is a height where I am able to step over it if I need to. As far as width goes, I use it for an opening approximately 4 feet wide, and the gate is sturdy even with an opening that wide. Also, when it is folded up, it does not take up a lot of space unlike other gates, plus it is soft if someone runs into it. My only regret is that I did not buy this gate the first time around...Customer Review: Not worth the money

We bought this item because we rent a home. It seemed like it would be perfect because it did not have to be mounted into the wall brackets. That is the only positive thing about this gate. It is nearly impossible to stretch out and keep it locked so that it tightly fits the wall. We also we attracted to the expansion because our opening is 60 inches. We cannot get it to stay locked and therefore it falls down. Once in a while, it will work and stay locked but it was not very sturdy. If you don't mind leaving it up and walking over it, then it will be just fine. We found that once we took it down, we couldn't get it back up. With two of us pulling on it for 15 minutes, we finally gave up. It's really not worth the money for a larger opening. We were going to use it to block off the hallway, but it doesn't get small enough to fit in that opening. I guess you get what you pay for.
