Customer Review: It's alright, not the best, no bells and whistles, just alright...

So time and time again, I must ask myself, do I spend a fortune and buy the best of the best or settle like the rest. Well, sometimes I splurge sometimes I don't. In this case, I thought to myself, well my child safety is concerned but I don't want to spend more money than I have to. I don't need to have the Mercedes of car seats. Why you ask? Well, I already have one of these that I bought from Sears and this is for the second vehicle. Since my 3 year old son travels more in my wife's Yukon XL Denali, he is already quite safe if they get in a fender bender. Also, I nor my son have many complaints. It is quite light to lug around from vehicle to vehicle and easy to use with a seatbelt. I just got tired of switching them out between vehicles because I am lazy like that. I know it is not made of leather and is not that fancy Eddie Bauer edition, nor does it match the color of my car seats, but for Heaven's sake, he is going to grow out of it in a year or two and it is going to be sold at a garage sale for pennies on the dollar. The only complaint I have is that cup holder can hold a jello/pudding snack pack cup but not any normal size cup. His bottle/sippie cup kept falling on the floor almost every turn of the vehicle. Oh wait, I have another complaint, but it is probably relevant to all car seats. This one is abrasive to leather. So I have to put a towel underneath and the back so those lines don't show up. He is our second child and we have learned from wasting lots and lots of money on our first so that she could have the best of the best and well, frankly, some things are just not worth double or triple the price if it gets the same job done. If you have to have a car seat that matches your seat colors and have to have the plush fabric and want to show off to your friends and family that you can afford a $150+ car seat, then by all means stimulate the economy. For me, it's alright, not the best, no bells and whistles, just alright!
