Baby Products Reviews of Evenflo ABC SmartSteps ExerSaucerCustomer Review: Very good, but may be a little overkill Summary: 4 Stars
My parents brought this for my son. My wife and I probably screwed up by introducing it too early. He's 9 months old and is a little bored with it. However, he loves pulling himself up next to it an playing with the toys. When he loved it, it was a tremendous life saver because you good get your chores done while he played.
This is very well made and easy to put together. It takes a lot of batteries, but surprisingly it doesn't eat them up quickly. My physical and occupational therapy friends swear by this toy - not necessarily this model.
You could probably save a few bucks with their less expensive model. If the price is not an issue, but this one.
Customer Review: Who says innovation is better? Summary: 3 Stars
We bought this for our second son after selling our first exersaucer a few years before. I definitely liked my first exersaucer better. I don't think the arch is in any way beneficial. It doesn't sit in the holes snugly, it wavers about and bops baby on the head when they get excited and bounce around. He had more fun standing on the outside and pulling the hanging toys - sure the lights and music are entertaining but it needs improvement. I would recommend using it without the arch, and buy two additional toys to replace the arch. I do however like Evenflo exersaucers - if I could have found one like our original one second hand I would have done so.
Customer Review: Baby loves it but may outgrow soon... Summary: 3 Stars
I recieved this as a gift at my baby shower for my son and began using it when he was about 4 months. He really loves this exersaucer and as a boy with a short attention span, it occupies him the longest out of all of his toys. He is almost 8 months now and still loves pushing all of the buttons and chewing on anything he can get his hands on.
My only complaint is that the instructions tell you to adjust the height so that baby is on his tiptoes... my son is average height and weight and we have had it on the highest setting for a couple of months now and he is flat-footed. It needs a higher setting but otherwise is a great product.
Customer Review: Dangerous! Summary: 1 Stars
The item description shows for babies up to 30 inches. My baby is 27 inches. He hates this thing, makes him cry every time because the hanging things keeps hitting his head and those are not soft material! The apple spring also hits his head too! The seat is cheap thin material that is not sturdy so he keeps leaning forward too, it has no support whatsoever. He is not interested with this item and I wished we had tried it out at the store before purchasing. Thankfully, amazon allows exchanges so we're getting the Einstein exercaucer which he likes when we tried it out at the store and it's not dangerous. I would not recommend this toy at all.
Customer Review: Time Saver! Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this product for my 6 month old and she loves it! I can get a few things done around the house while she is in it, and don't have to worry about her getting into anything she shouldn't be. It does have a lot of buttons and attachments on it that may over-stimulate your baby, especially if they are younger. This can easily be solved by taking off some of the attachments, you can pick and choose what you leave on or take off. This exersaucer is also great because the legs can be extended with the growth of your baby! Overall a great product, I am looking forward to getting some good use out of this exersaucer!
