Customer Review: Great toy. Would recommend
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought this for my son after I saw one of my friends had purchased one for her daughter and he tried it and loved it. It was easy to assemble I actually put this together while my husband was taking care of the baby and it didn't take very long at all.

As for the toy itself our son seems to like it. He loves to bounce up and down and it gets tiring holding him in my arm all day and this toy does a good job of giving me a break. There are a lot of different toys around him and he never gets bored. I am sure other people have said this but I wouldn't suggest leaving him on there for more than 30min at a time because they need tummy time too. I use it whenever I have to do dishes or clean the house because I know he's not bored and not getting in trouble. If I leave him on the floor while doing dishes he's most likely pulling leaves from my plants. Also the toy is sturdy when we first placed my son on it he was bouncing up and down so hard we didn't think it would last more than a week but we have had it for 2 months now and it's still going strong.

Customer Review: Paint chips within a month -- corrected by Evenflo
Summary: 2 Stars

Update: The day I wrote the review, I called Evenflo. They sent out new parts. I scratched the stars purposefully with my fingernails, and they don't flake off this time. They asked for the old parts so their engineers could take a look at them and figure out what happened, and FedEx showed up to pick them up.

First review:

My daughter absolutely loves this thing. She hated swings. She tolerated the papasan. But she loves this thing. And today I notice that the painted stars are flaking off of the spring covers that hold the thing together, so they cannot be removed. I'm going to call Evenflo, but it sounds like I'm not the only one with the problem. And unless they can address it appropriately, it has to go back. We try to take a very health conscious approach to raising our child, and paint flecks are not part of the picture. How do I take this away from her now? That's the sad thing.

Customer Review: Like It But Don't Love It
Summary: 3 Stars

My five month old daughter has been using her exersaucer for a month.

Pros: Very colorful and stimulating. My daughter enjoys her exersaucer for about 15 minutes a day. There are many different activities for her to play with. Every day, she discovers something new to push, pull, or chew on. It is fun to watch her progress, and I am confident that the exersaucer has improved her gross and fine motor skills. The seat turns easily and she enjoys that it rocks when she moves around.

Cons: It takes way too many batteries! The iPod-looking device has buttons that are difficult for an infant to push. The yellow paint of the stars on the clear domes that cover the springs flakes badly. Her hands will often be covered in the flecks. One of the buttons on the puppy piano has a white kitten on it, but the button will tell you that the cat is orange when pushed. I am sure that this won't confuse my child any time soon, but it seems to be a silly mistake.

Customer Review: My daughter LOVES it!
Summary: 5 Stars

We got this exersaucer as a baby gift. Let me say first off, it appears excessive. There are toys all over this thing, and as some one who doesn't feel the need to have EVERY single baby toy ever made, I thought this seemed like overkill. HOWEVER, when I put my daughter in this at 4 months old (with a towel roll for support) she loved it immediately, because no matter where she flung her little arms, she hit something. Now, at 6 months old, she is still entertained in this for up to 15 minutes. She loves spinning around and using all the toys and she can now reach the overhead toy bar and play with those toys. There are a lot of batteries, but so far none have died. Lastly, perhaps my favorite feature of this exersaucer is the dog light up toy- you can easily take it on and off and it makes a great travel toy by itself (it has buttons the baby hits and it lights up and sings- also has a spinning piece and beads on a bar). I would definitely recommend this exersaucer!

Customer Review: Fun, but dangerous! :(
Summary: 2 Stars

We purchased this item in 2009 for my older daughter. Unfortunately, she was already too big for it. We put it away and got it out when our new son was about four months old (he is now eight months). He absolutely LOVES this toy except for the fact that the hard toys on the toybar hit him in the head when he bounces and turns. Those toys really swing with great force and I'm afraid they could cause a child serious injury! Just today the longest of the three toys hit him in the eye! I promptly called Evenflo and they are forwarding the information to their engineering department, as well as sending out a replacement toy bar (with much softer toys,) free of charge. As much as my son adores this ExerSaucer, and as polite and helpful as the customer service department at Evenflo has been, I can't rate this product over two stars because I truly feel that its current design is dangerous. I wouldn't purchase this product again unless it is redesigned!
