Customer Review: Great for little ones, once you've assembled it!!
Summary: 4 Stars

I bought this when my son was 4.5 months old. He was growing out of his activity mat and was much happier "standing up". He was too short for it initially, but soon grew into it (we used a book under his feet until that time).

Assembly - was probably one of the hardest things to put together EVER - only because of the dome spring caps, which were soooo awkward. It took over an hour to get one of them to align properly. The others seemed to be fine, just one that was difficult, but of course unless you align them properly, the whole thing doesn't work. Aaaaghhhh! So much frustration. The other pieces were easy to assemble, and once we'd overcome the hell involved with that one spring dome cap we were away.

My now 7 month old son still loves this (but prefers the Fisher Price Jumperoo as he likes to jump a lot) and the hanging toys on the arch haven't hit him in the head (yet). I bought all 3 switcheroos and he loves the apple book and the spinny fish and when he's been very "teethy" the chewy fish has also been great. Highly recommend purchasing them all.

Overall, aside from the assembly nightmare, this is a great investment for when your baby is starting to love being upright more than on his back/ tummy and yet isn't quite at the crawling stage.

Customer Review: Great toy
Summary: 4 Stars

This is great. We bought this when our daughter started sitting up and couldn't safely sit in her bouncy chair anymore. She loves it!! She doesn't really bounce yet.

As to the paint issues people have mentioned: We have not noticed this at all. I even tried to scrape the paint off and it didn't come off.

We gave it 4 instead of 5 stars for a few reasons.

1) our daughter started out in the middle height setting and has almost outgrown it. She is not even in the 50th percentile (@ 6mos old) and I think she will outgrow it before she starts walking.

2) Putting it together was not hard except for screwing on the stars (the springs are underneath). They can be really hard to turn.

3) It is priced a little high.

It can be a little over stimulating when she is tired. We took the toy off that was under the hanging part. We rotate that toy with the other interchangeable toys to keep it fresh for her. She loves sticking her fingers in the empty spot as much as playing with any of the toys! I guess that's the same as when kids would rather play with the boxes than the actual toys.

Other than that we really love this. It was SO worth the money!

Customer Review: Excellent Product
Summary: 5 Stars

We ordered this Excersaucer for our 5 month old after trying to get the 3 in 1 jungle Excersaucer. We originally wanted the 3 in 1 but it wouldn't ship to us, so we decided on this one. From the first, our 5 month old loved it! He plays with all the toys, spins himself around, and is entertained. It only took myself and our 6 year old 40 mins to put it together. It probably would have taken less time had I done it myself but I had a "helper".... The directions were easy to follow, and the most complicated part was putting together the top of the legs and the star spring part.

Our son is already on the 2nd height stage and fits well in the seat, no slumping. He loves being able to stand and see what the other kids are doing. I think this will be a favorite for a long time. The only cons that I can see is that the stars that cover the springs are a bit hard to push in order to make the Excersaucer bounce, but I am sure he will figure out how to do this soon enough. The fact that it takes 9 AAA batteries is also a bit of a bummer but I will buy rechargeable ones so as not to create so much of an impact on the environment.

All in all a great product that I would recommend to anyone.

Customer Review: LIFE SAVER!!!! Excellent and entertaining.
Summary: 5 Stars

I love the saucer, so does my son. I started putting him in when he was 3 months old. I had to wrap a blanket around his waist to help hold him up though. I think it really helped with his leg strength. After being in it for about 30 min. a day for two weeks he was able to stand on his own (sort of - holding onto stuff of course, not entirely by himself). To this day he is really strong. He's now 6 months old and is bouncing like crazy in the thing. I love this thing so much because it entertains him while I get stuff done (like take a shower). Also, it's stationary so I don't have to keep a constant eye on him, unlike walkers where the kids are mobile and can still get into stuff. Another great feature is that the arc fits on his Evenflo hi-chair! That is so cool because it keeps him occupied while I prepare his food. The colors are bright and cheery. There are a lot of different sounds which is good because I like toys with variety. Also, there's a lot to play with. Other saucers are kind of plain, this one is not. Definitely worth the money. It's a little bulky to lug to Grandmas but unless you drive a small car it's not that big a deal.

Great product shipped quickly a little confusing to put together used image on box rather then instruction booklet..it was alot easier but other than that a piece of cake. My son is 4 months old and he loves it but only for about 15 min or so when he gets older im sure he will want to stay in it longer. You should only use if your child is old enough to hold their head up very well alone and has strong enough legs to stand up my son was pretty early with this so he already is spinning around in it slowly I wouldnt recommend it for any younger than 4 months. Has alot your child can hit and play with just uses alot of AAA batteries.

On the play area there are 3 oval shaped plactic things with stars or something like that on them. u will see when u buy it that has to be put on with a spring i left the spring out because i was nervous that when he banged on it the spring would pop out..even though the instructions say to may sure everything is lined up and on right i still didnt like it and it wasnt necessary those parts was still able to fit on without the springs..overall great product for the price cheaper than toys r us
