These are your old-fashioned, sturdy glass bottles. So if you're used to a Dr. Browns', which vents so well, you'll be disappointed. My son sucks and sucks and when I take the bottle out of his mouth, air gets pulled in through the nipple, creating all kinds of bubbles. I tried to use the Dr. Brown's interior venting system, but it's just a hair too long to fit in the bottle. If they were just a bit shorter, they'd fit. I'm starting to think the extra money for the Born Free bottles is worth it.Customer Review: baby

we are very pleased with the glass baby bottles for they are the best way to keep our newborn baby safe from lead paint cartoons on plastic bottles from china,as well as the toxins from the plastic bottles themselves.we can steam clean the glass bottles,this is the best way to keep our baby's bottles sanitized,without releasing toxins as plastic bottles do. we are pleased by the timely fahion that the bottles were ordered and recieved through amazon.com,and the quality of the product.thank you.Customer Review: No risk of BPA with these bottles but they don't vent...

I bought these bottles because of the potential harm with BPA in plastic bottles and they are very affordable compared to Born Free bottles but the suction is really, really bad!
My baby sucks, and sucks and sucks and I have to stop on regular basis to break the suction because she can't get any milk out of it. Whenever I shake the milk, it leaks no matter how tight the nipple and lid are put back on.
It's shame you can't get quality and affordability all in the same product.

Great Bottles if trying to limit child's exposure to possible plastic leaching, AND I think this is the best place to get them. Easy to clean (in dishwasher on high heat so saves time in regards to sterilizing) and use (still prefer Dr. B nipples and attachments). I would suggest this for any new or experienced mommy with any sort of concern (mild or moderate) about BPAs or other chemicals. Hope this helps in anyone's decision...less time researching means more time with baby...or sleeping. :)Customer Review: Great bottles...don't have to worry about plastic!

I bought these bottles because, like many moms now, I'm all paranoid about the chemicals in plastic bottles. I'm so happy I switched to glass! Now I can stick them in the dishwasher and not worry about anything. I do wash the nipples by hand still, but that just takes a second. I was worried before about the thickness of the glass, but they're perfect. They're thick enough to not have to worry about them breaking, but not too heavy for my little one to hold. I definitely recommend these!
