Baby Products Reviews of Evenflo 3 Pack Classic Glass Bottle, 8-OunceCustomer Review: Great classic bottles for good price Summary: 5 Stars
These bottles are extremely easy to clean and they eliminate the fears associated with the use of plastic bottles. However, I have noticed occasional leaks as other reviewers have when you shake the bottles. All you need to do is open the top and readjust the nipple, screw the cap back on tight, and you are good to go. One word of advice...skip the 4 ounce bottles as your newborn will most likely outgrow them in a month or so. The 8 ounce bottles work just fine from birth on and you can save money by skipping the smaller bottles altogether.
Customer Review: Dishwasher solution Summary: 4 Stars
The glass bottles dry well in the dishwasher as opposed to plastic. No more misty and cruddy bottles. They are very sturdy. I dropped plenty but they dont break.
One downside is that the white cap is not airtight so if you prescoop formula and want to add water and shake, it tends to get messy. I circumvented this issue by adding the tops (i.e. ring, nipples and caps) from the standard gerber nurser bottles (with the blue, green, purple rings). Those screw on perfectly and not a drop gets spilled when you shake up the formula.
Customer Review: Clean + Pure Feeding Summary: 4 Stars
I cringe at the idea that I fed my baby from heated up polycarbonate bottles. I might not be able to breastfeed my baby, but with my new glass bottles, at least I know that I am feeding her the purest form of formula I can possibly give. She hated the taste of the latex rubber nipples so I bought some silicone ones and was successful.
When I consider the epidemic of autism in this country, I am dedicated to buying pure, organic baby products and avoiding using plastic products especially when heating in the microwave.
Customer Review: glass nursers Summary: 3 Stars
I ordered these almost a year ago and the glass was heavier in the first order, and the silicone nipples are made differently. One silicone nipple came with the tip almost ripped off, presenting a choking hazard!(the new shipment) Apparently they have moved manufacturing to another country, because they are not made as well as they were even a year ago.
Even so, I prefer them to plastic bottle feeding. If you order these, be sure to inspect the nipples very carefully poking your finger through to make sure they won't rip.
Customer Review: Reasonable alternative to plastic Summary: 4 Stars
After all the plastic additive news, I purchased glass bottles to use in addition to my drop-ins nursers. If you are looking for a no-frills, plain glass bottle, this is it, plus, I'm sure they work just as well as teh $10+ each glass bottles also on the market. I would recommend purchasing additional nipples, since the latex ones included are rather stiff and have that chalky film on them, even after boiling. One nice feature is that they fit Medela breast pumps (I'm not sure about others), which is very convenient.
