Baby Products Reviews of Evenflo 3 Pack Classic Glass Bottle, 8-Ounce

Customer Review: Good for storage but bad for feeding
Summary: 2 Stars

Like most reviewers, I bought these along with Dr. Brown's glass bottles to see which ones I can use to replace my Avent plastic bottles due to BPA concerns. These were cheaper but as stated in a lot of reviews, the nipples were useless. They collapsed and my son gave up trying to nurse after awhile. I now use these to store my expressed breast milk in the fridge and use my Dr. Brown ones to feed my baby. Overall, it was a cheap solution for milk storage but definitely not for feedings. Dr. Brown glass vented bottles are great although having so many little parts to deal with is a bit annoying.

Customer Review: Beware don't use the bottles' ounces to measure!
Summary: 3 Stars

I've had these bottles for over a year now. We didn't realize right away that the ounces on the bottles are wrong. They are off. So use something else to measure. 6oz. is really 6 & 1/2. The other downfalls are they have a narrow neck for getting formula in and they leak quite a bit. We wound up using the medela non orthodontic nipples on them because we started with the medela bottles this time with the second kid but those bottles only come in tiny size. They leak less with the Medela nipple. Otherwise they clean up great & don't hold any oder. Just don't put cold milk in very hot bottle.

Customer Review: Sturdy, and the price is right
Summary: 4 Stars

My pediatrician and I decided it would be best to get rid of the old Avent bottles because of the recent research on polycarbonates. I took a chance on these glass bottles and it paid off. They are so easy to clean and we like that they are chemical-free. There is occasional leakage around the screw-cap when you shake them up, so do it over the sink (hence 4 not 5 stars). I bought the silicone nipples (sold separately) because it's what my 5 month old is used to from his old Avent bottles. My mom thinks it's a riot that my baby uses glass bottles like her kids did 30+ years ago.

Customer Review: Worry-free
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm fed up with all the plastic scares. With these glass bottles, I don't have to think about it any more. They are easy to clean. They come with latex nipples but you can buy the silicone ones separately. I did manage to break one of these bottles in our steam bottle warmer by taking the bottle directly from the fridge to the warmer (and it didn't have that much milk in it). We warm them in warm water now -- it's still pretty fast. My baby is still too small to hold the bottle by herself, so I don't know how breakable they are if they get dropped on the floor.

Customer Review: Use for warming up liquid
Summary: 5 Stars

I gave my baby pumped milk in Advent bottles but after all the scare with BPA, even buying the bpa-free Advent bottles, I did not want to warm up the milk by sticking the plastic Advent bottles into hot water. I bought one pack of these glass bottles to warm the milk up in, then I transfered the warmed milk to the plastic bottles. If I hadn't already spent a fortune on the plastic bottles, I would have purchased 20 of these glass ones and used them as the feeding, and warming bottles. Buy these in the beginning! They work and they are worry-free.
