Baby Products Reviews of Evenflo 3 Pack Classic Glass Bottle, 8-OunceCustomer Review: Got rid of the BPA bottles and LOVE these Summary: 5 Stars
Threw out ALL my plastic evenflo and gerber bottles and purchased these! They work great. For anyone afraid of giving glass bottles to the babies, no worries. My little darlin has dropped these on my tile floor in the master bathroom and they didn't even come near breaking. I've also caught her clanging 2 bottles together!! They are a bit heavier than the plastic, but she adjusted just fine after a few uses. Helping her build up her biceps :) Oh and after finding a bottle that had been "lost" for a few days, the "cottage cheese" mixture that had formed inside washed right out with warm water and then was put in the dishwasher. The plastic bottles would always hold onto all that gunk and inevitably end up in the trash.
Customer Review: Great option Summary: 5 Stars
I really like these bottles. I just gave them to my six month old son who has always used plastic bottles. He immediately liked them and had no trouble adjusting. In addition, I was so very pleased to be able to put them in the dishwasher with all other stuff. I did not do this with the plastics and I was washing them all the time. Beasides, all the hight-tech talk about air intake, I think that because these bottles are much more narrow, there is less surface area exposed and there is less of an air intake sound as he drinks it. I would highly recommend these bottles!!!
Not only there are reports of the side effects of BPA, I think everything tastes better in glass!!!
Customer Review: Great Bottles- Have been using everyday for 18 months! Summary: 5 Stars
I love these bottles! They have been used everyday for 18 months and are still going strong with baby #2. They have been thrown by my toddler on our hardwood floors practically daily and I have never had one to break or chip. I put breastmilk in the freezer in them- leave enough room at the top for expansion and then allow to thaw in fridge or bring to room temp under tap before heating in bottle warmer and you are good to go. They fit right on to my medella pump. I would suggest buying their silicon nipples to go with the bottles- they come with latex and I am not a big fan of latex for baby bottles. I feel grateful to have found this as an alternative to chemical leaching plastics!
Customer Review: Pretty Good Option, Revised Score 4/5 Summary: 1 Stars
EDITED REVIEW: It seems as though they wised up and started packaging these with the silicone nipples (at least according to the new product description). With the silicone nipples, rather than those horrible hard rubber things, these bottles work very well. REVISED RATING: 4/5, though Amazon won't let me change the stars above.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I liked these classic bottles, and they are safe and BPA-free. However, the nipples are horrible. They are hard and thick. The baby sucks and sucks and gets hardly any milk. It's finally too much work for too little reward, and even our incredibly good natured boy becomes frustrated. Waste of everyone's time.
Customer Review: Great for storing breastmilk! Summary: 5 Stars
While I would NEVER feed my baby with these bottles, I have found them to be fantastic for storing breastmilk in the freezer. Unlike the plastic bags which can split or spill (and impart a nasty plastic smell), they are durable and don't freeze into weird shapes. Most importantly, glass has been found to be the best material for retaining the maximum immune cells in the milk - the slick glass walls don't allow the important immune components to stick to the bottle. These do take up more freezer space, but I find it well worth the space to know that my baby is getting the best I can give him when he's not nursing with me. Too bad these are so hard to find!
