Baby Products Reviews of Evenflo 3 Pack Classic Glass Bottle, 4-OunceCustomer Review: Classic good! Summary: 5 Stars
If I ever were to buy bottle again, I would only purchase these.
I wish I had never gotten any of my plastic ones! These evenflow glass bottles clean easier stay nicer and each bottle comes with a ring, tight fitting cap (which my daycare requires) and a little plate you can put in instead of the nipple, which is great if you use them for pumping and storing breast milk.If used in a bottlewarmer, they warm up more evenly and faster than the plastic ones.
They fit the Medela PIS without a problem as well. We do not use the nipples that came with them, but any regular nipple will probably fit - we use Gerber NUK.
I have been using them daily for about 6 months now and never had a bottle break or chip (though they have fallen a couple of times) and they show no wear at all.
And they will not leach BPA into your baby's milk. Yay!
Customer Review: Good bottles but wish I had bought the silicone nipples at the same time! Summary: 4 Stars
I was so excited to receive these glass bottles after I learned about the potential harmful effects of Bisphenol-A leaching from my daughter's plastic bottles. They are so cute! They hold heat really well, and for a lot longer than her plastic ones. They also clean up really easily in the dishwasher which is heaven. My only gripe is that my daughter is 6 months old and is used to silicone nipples so she won't take the latex ones that come with the bottles. I did purchase some 'standard' gerber ones but they ended up leaking. Also the diameter of the nipple is a lot smaller than her old gerber comfort hold bottles so the way she nurses is different than on the new smaller nipples for the glass bottles. My advice is to start your baby early on this glass bottle/nipple combo or be prepared for some adjustment time as your baby learns the new one.
Customer Review: Made in Mexico, good for pumping and freezing... Summary: 3 Stars
These are made in Mexico if you're looking for usa-made items. Glass is fine, washes fine in dishwasher, lids are cheap plastic (at least they look like that). They have not leaked on my yet though I've only used for "feeding" a handful of times. Upon freezing, I'm not tightening the lid before frozen as I read that may cause breakage, yet after frozen the lid doesn't screw on secure it just keeps turning and turning. I don't know why that is but it's slightly annoying...I also hold the bottle the entire time I'm feeding and have instructed my husband to do the same even though my son (5 months) wants to take it from me at this point. If I was feeding him daily out of a bottle I would invest in a more expensive glass bottle with one of those nice sleeves to prevent injury upon breakage.
Customer Review: Better than the Alternatives Summary: 5 Stars
These are great! They don't break, I can pump, freeze and feed from them without transfering my precious milk too many times. They clean up easily either when I wash them by hand, or in the dishwasher. There's no icky smell of plasic either. However, this set comes with a hard latex nipple. No child should really be forced to use. You can replace them with NUK, Nuby, Dr. Brown's, Gerber or any other standard size nipple. These really are the greatest. You almost forget the reason you bought them is because of BPA (which if you read...more and more scientist are warning is just as dangerous as Lead). My 6 week old reflux, breastfed baby girl prefers these over anything else we've tried.
Customer Review: Safest bottle to ever exist! Summary: 5 Stars
Have not had the chance to use these bottles yet, but have done a lot of research about the safest bottles out there - and these are it! Why even take the chance of using plastic bottles that have the possibility of the toxic lining - when the glass bottles have the same benefits - but are 100% safe. The only slight con is that they are a bit heavier than the plastic bottles - but a newborn does not hold his/her own bottle anyway. Also, I bought the evenflo nipples, which are only a few bucks, to replace the rubber ones that the bottles came with (they are way too hard). I would highly recommend that you use these bottles!!
