Baby Products Reviews of EvenFlo SmartSteps Exersaucer EntertainerCustomer Review: Good product, but a few problems... Summary: 4 Stars
My almost 5-month-old just started playing with this and seems to enjoy all of the goodies she can put in her mouth. However, another reviewer commented on the purple dye coming off the flower rattle when her little one chewed on it and that has happened with ours too. I think I am going to have to cut that toy off because I'm not sure if the dye is toxic and I don't want to take chances. The only other downside is that since my daughter doesn't have the best balance when standing in the saucer, she tends to wobble and slip backward and forward a lot. I solved this by rolling up a receiving blanket and putting it around her in the front of the seat to help keep her from flopping so much.
The number of toys might be overwhelming for a young baby, but it's probably worth the money considering how many of them make sounds, have light displays, etc. So far my daughter has enjoyed playing in it for about 10 minutes at a time, and I think she will enjoy it even more once she figures out how to press all the buttons, etc.
Customer Review: If I could only give this more Stars I would..... Great for babies motor skills and more!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I'm so glad I talked my Husband into getting this!!! My son stated playing with this at 3 months. Each day he learned something new, and it has so many toys. I was amazed to see how fast he learned how to turn the book part, he loved the noise it made each time he turned the page. I promise he played in this thingy for 3-4 hours at a time. And when he started crawling, he would try and get himself up just to reach the toys. This thing saved me and gave me time to do the normal activies to clean my house. I would just place it in the room I was going to clean and let him play! I even got to sit and have time for me and what I like doing best, taking pictures of him and working on his scrapbook and memory book. This thing you can't beat, it's worth every cent too! Now, I'm pregnant with my second child and only have 2 weeks left till she gets here and I hope she enjoys it as much as my son did. He's 16 months old now and goes in his bed room to play with the toys on the exersaucer. He dances each time it plays music!
Customer Review: busy mom of an energied 7 month old Summary: 5 Stars
i recently purchased this exersaucer about a month and a half ago. i can honestly say that every time i drop my daughter's legs into this toy, she gets so excited it makes me laugh. she can't get over all of the toys and noises they make... i recommend this toy to everyone! i was very upset to hear the reviews some of the parents gave. i am a physical therapist and i don't believe in keeping a child in a walker, jumper or toy like this for more than 15-25 minutes at a time. i believe that the moms who gave the bad reviews were the moms of 2-3 month olds, or of moms of children who are emotionally or developmentally too young to be in these toys, or of moms who were keeping their babies in these types of toys for too long for thier own benefit... to their child's dismay. my daughter has loved this toy since we bought it and has on a few occasions, taken a step while holding on to me, which i attribute to her playing in this toy. i give it a double thumbs up... and also remember parents... everything in moderation...
Customer Review: Must have for babies Summary: 5 Stars
We bought this exersaucer when my son was about 5 months or so. He's 7 and a half months old now. From the day we bought it, he has loved it! This saucer has everything an active child needs to keep busy. He loves to hit and pull the animals hanging down from the arch. He also loves the music that plays on the removable book portion of the saucer. When he hears the music he bounces and laughs. I find it nice that the book portion does come off, because it can be taken places or used on the floor during tummy time. I also enjoy the saucer, because it enables me to do some household tasks and know my son is occupied and safe. My husband, baby and myself all love this saucer and are very glad we purchased it. There was one thing I found a little surprising, and that was that it took longer than I expected to put together. It was not at all difficult to put together, but did take about an hour to do. I guess I just expected it to be somewhat easier, but like I said it was not a difficult task.
