Baby Products Reviews of Ergo Baby Carrier Black with Camel LiningCustomer Review: doesn't face out but back is not tired Summary: 4 Stars
Third child and lost my bjorn. I wanted to try something that wasn't so hard on the back. It really does take the weight off of your back. The baby gets tired of being in it before I ever do and with the bjorn I was tired within a very short time. It is too bad it doesn't face out because I think they really prefer this. I think it will be much better when she gets older and we are able to use it on the hip or even as a backpack. Her legs are too short and don't open enough right now (4months). I do like how versatile it is. You aren't locked into one position and the baby is pressed up against your body. Also, the head is in the perfect position for kissing. Very sweet.
Customer Review: BEST EVER! Summary: 5 Stars
I have 6 baby carriers, count em...6! I started with a sling type for my new born and tried a Moby Wrap (too complicated), then the Baby Bjorn for awhile but it was killing my already damaged back and neck! So I started looking around for a back carrier now that my baby can hold her head up (she's 4 months now) and found this one...its so versatile! I love it love it love it and I had her in the front carrying position all morning doing chores and my back didn't hurt at all! I told all my friends about it and got my BFF to change her registry and I bought this for her instead...highly highly recommended, especially if you have back problems.

There are websites dedicated to this baby carrier. Unlike other baby carriers, you can put this carrier on without help from another person. Also, the baby doesn't sit awkwardly in this carrier. You can carry the baby on your back, side, or in front of you, with the baby facing you. It also has a piece for newborns that you have to buy separately. I recommend this for petite women, though it fits people of all sizes. This is also good for bigger babies. Other carriers get uncomfortable after 12 pounds. This one is good till at least 55. For those of you worried about your baby not facing out, remember, you can put them on your side.
Customer Review: Great for both mom and dad Summary: 5 Stars
After researching the many baby carriers out there, I found the most positive reviews for the Ergo and now I know why. It is fantastic! Both me and my husband love it. It is very easy to put on and fit to your size, it is comfortable to wear as it balances the weight on your upper body so not too much is put on your shoulders or back, and our baby loves it. We used the newborn insert for the first 2 months and now use it without. Both ways it has been great. I recommend the insert because without it, it would be difficult for your baby to be supported, although I think you could probably use a blanket for the same effect.
Customer Review: GREAT for someone other than me Summary: 4 Stars
This carrier definitely is easy on the back and shoulders!! I felt like I could carry my son around for hours, unlike the Bjorn where after 15 minutes I was dieing. HOWEVER, my son is too used to the Bjorn where he faces out and did not like the Ergo AT ALL - he tried turning around the whole time. And there was NO WAY I could put him on my back alone - I needed the help from my husband to put him on my back - and unfortunately, I am alone with my son most of the time so I could never put him on alone. This is an awesome carrier if you have a newborn or a child that is already used to facing inwards.
