After reading mixed reviews I bought for baptism outfit for my 4 1/4 month old. The 12 month size fit him fine (he is 50% for weight, at 16 pounds). Might stretch for a slightly larger baby, maybe up to 18 pounds. It is cute and looks comfortable -unlike the tacky shiny tux outfits. However, I had to return because the buttons all came loose while trying it on him (hanging by a thread). In fact just unbuttoning them to put it on him they came loose. I could have kept and replaced all the buttons, but the button holes didn't look like they'd hold up either. I opted to get my money back. I hope the company improves the buttons, b/c it would be cute without that flaw. As it is I do not think the buttons would even hold up to a couple hours wear.
