This product is not a marble run like the many others you see on amazon.com. This product serves the purposes of developing logical thinking, coordination, and lateral gaze development and stabilization.
Developed for the young toddler 12-18 months. Safe large balls which slowly go down a simple maze/run. So what can that serve?
A) Logic (if I do this, then that happens). Concrete thinking!
B) Coordination (pick up the ball palm grasp or pincer grip, and deliver it from the bottom bin up to the feeder). Repetition!
C) Lateral gaze development. It takes complicated neuromuscular coordination to watch an airplane slowly fly high above. We take it for granted (like going down the stairs). The design of this maze is deliberately slow. Thus allowing for therapeutic lateral gaze development. Highly important in developmentally delayed children.
