These locks are best used for cabinets with handles. Although advertised to "fit easily with various types of knobs," the locks fail on most due to a simple design flaw.
Look at the sliding portion of the lock. It's a rectangular bar of plastic that's about 1/2" thick. If you have knobs with a spindle long enough to allow that bar to fit snugly behind the bulb-portion of the knob, these may work. On most standard knobs, the bar will simply rest on the outside of the knob, and baby can pull the lock right off the cabinet. I was able to secure it snugly with a lot of force, but my 11 month son (with a lot of effort) was still able to pull it off and the lock hit him in the face.
Now the annoying part. Notice how the u-shaped bend in the lock has a thin platic ridge? All the manufacturer would have to do is put a similar ridge on the moving bar and this would actually work.
