I didn't read any reviews of these - I just wanted to get some tub crayons for my 2-year-old and I think these were the cheapest ones that were prime eligible. I'm not sure what the purpose of the holder is - they should've just made the crayons a little fatter and they'd work great. The crayons themselves are super skinny and only last a couple of baths. I definitely don't recommend them.
