We have 2 potty-training grandsons, and a tiny bathroom. There really wasn't room for their little potty, or to store a pop-on pop-off trainer seat. This new toilet seat is brilliant. It's built in 3 sections, instead of the usual 2. First the lid, then a small-holed kiddy seat, then the adult seat. The babies can sit comfortably on the kiddy seat without being afraid of falling through, and can keep doing so for as long as it takes for their little bottoms to grow into the grown-up seat. And you just flush the waste away, it doesn't have to be scrubbed out of a separate potty!!! When the kiddy seat isn't in use, it flips up neatly into the lid, leaving a normal adult seat for the rest of us. And the boys really enjoy climbing onto the big potty! This is a very quality toilet seat. We tried 3 different kinds that attach to an existing toilet seat, including a portable seat, one with a built in step ladder and one that had a lip that held it in place between the bowl and a regular toilet seat; however, when the boys were learning to pee sitting down, urine would always get under the seats and they were wobbly. This doesn't happen with the Potty Pal. I love the versatility, and my sons use it with ease. Since it also has a regular toilet seat, I will get a lot of use out of it when guests (or I) need to use that bathroom as well. I did not buy the special step stool - I just used a plastic one I purchased at Target and it works great (Circo brand I think). I wish I would have purchased this first and saved myself some headaches.Customer Review: Great product! We bought two!

One is in our upstairs bathroom, one is in our downstairs bathroom! This product was easy to install, and our twins just love it! Makes using the toilet so much more comfortable at home, they can just get on and not worry about falling in. The simple, "indestructo-hard plastic design" of the product makes for MUCH easier cleaning than a regular enameled toilet seat. Although the kid seat portion has been sticking a little (pulling down the lid) when the kid seat is lowered and raised, but I hardly call that a product defect when that may lessen with more frequent use. I highly recommend this excellent item. It is wonderfully executed and I have been using these for over 5 years and i'm glad to see that this deserving company got a contract with Target!
The seat works very well and makes potty trainers feel more like big kids which is affirmation in and of itself!
I have seen others say that it's flimsy but I don't believe so and i'm BIG on purchasing quality items. It is lightweight for safety so that kids don't hurt their hands! The stool is great as well and we all make use of it even when not training since it holds up to 250 LBS!

I've had this potty seat for over a year now and we love it. It was a little hard to install for me, but I'm not exactly a super-handy plumber type of mom. But other than that, it has worked great. It's nice that you don't have to store and put on a potty seat when your child needs to go, which has helped our daughter gain much independence in the bathroom -- she can easily lift the lid to reveal her potty seat right there! I'm getting ready to buy another one for our other bathroom since our daughter has suddenly decided any potty without a seat is scary - sigh!
