Baby Products Reviews of Dr. Brown's Standard Dishwashing Basket, Polypropylene

Customer Review: Works okay
Summary: 4 Stars

I thought this looked SO COOL, and it kind of is. It generally does a good job at what it's made for -- holding the bottle pieces in place while they're washed in the dishwasher. However, I have a few minor complaints: I'm never sure how I should be placing it in the dishwasher (it seems like it should sit upright so the inside of the nipples points down); I wish there were more spots for the every-use items (we rarely use caps or travel disks); and it seems a little pricy for what you're actually getting.

Customer Review: Very handy, but overpriced
Summary: 4 Stars

These are very handy for holding the bottle fittings separately so they can get washed effectively and securely. If you use a bottle for each feeding, I suggest buying four baskets (and enough nipples and BPA-free bottles) so that you don't have to run the dishwasher partly full because you need clean parts.

For what it is, two pieces of injection-molded plastic snapped together, it's pricey. These shouldn't have to cost more than, say, $3 a pop, and they should sell them in two-packs.

Customer Review: Feeds the OCD need!
Summary: 5 Stars

We have two of these racks, and they are the greatest for cleaning all of the bottle parts effectively in the dishwasher. No more scrubbing and sterilizing bottle parts! It also has these great little cutouts so you know where each piece of each set fits. It's like a little puzzle, and feeds my crazy need for order so very well! It only holds enough for three bottle sets though, so most people will need more than one. So it may seem a little pricey, but we think it's totally worth it.

Customer Review: Thank goodness for this
Summary: 4 Stars

I wish we'd bought it sooner. My husband's reaction when I told him I bought this was "buy two!"--which I had already done. I love the Dr. Brown's bottles but cleaning all the parts gets old fast. This makes it much, much easier. I don't know why people said that it takes up a lot of room. It takes up about as much room as 4 glasses. The bottle itself doesn't go in here, just all of the other parts. I would recommend buying two because it only holds all the parts for three bottles.

Customer Review: Useful, certainly. Vital, no.
Summary: 4 Stars

This cleverly-built device holds three assemblies for Dr. Brown's bottles. We own three assemblies. This is a good match. If you're comfortable washing everything in the dishwasher, this is for you - my wife is always concerned about water pooling in the baby gear when we just put it in the utensil tray, and this alleviates that problem. That said, it's pretty expensive for what it does. I'd be happy paying 2-3 dollars for it. (Used is probably a good option.)
