Customer Review: Great idea but not a necessity

I was really excited about this concept and had to have 2 of them. I thought this was a wonderful idea and perfect for giving all those bottle pieces a good scrub.. Well, maybe this is great for others but I found myself rarely using it. Normally, I would need to wash bottles way before I had enough dirty dishes to justify running the dishwasher. So, I found it to be easier to just wash these by hand.
I also felt like they didn't get clean enough in the dishwasher. Maybe just my imagination but they seemed filmy when I took them out of the basket. I thought maybe it was my detergent or something but even changing it didn't help. Who knows.. I just know this didn't work for me..

Why did I wait so long to get these! That's because I never knew about them! My poor hands!!! I have 23 of Dr. Browns bottles because I was tired of washing them by hand every day!! So stressful. I was unsure at first about these baskets doing what I did by hand. I would get into every hole to wash my babys bottles. And then I would sterilize in the microwave. It took me at least one and a half hours! I bought three of these baskets and it did the job! Better than I! WOW! Everything came out clean! Of coarse, I would still sterilize the tube and nipples with the rings because I have to touch them to assemble them back together again but that's no biggy. Will order three more. We love our Dr. Browns bottles (and finally found the polypro ones for sale). With Dr. Browns our babies have had little to no burping, and never an ear infection or gas problems. While that's probably some luck on our parts, we think the zero air/low pressure design of Dr. Browns plays a role as well.
On the other had, each bottle **does** have 6 parts. This dishwasher rack makes cleaning all those parts a lot easier. However, it only holds 3 sets, so if you're like us and go through more bottles in a day, you might want two wash racks.

This is great for Dr. Brown bottle parts and when I have to handwash pieces in between dishwasher loads I really appreciate how easy it is to use. I just wish it had an extra compartment for the bottles themselves! It can be used in the dishwasher upright so it saves tons of space unlike the other larger box type dishwasher baskets. If you use Dr. Brown bottles on a regular basis, this is great to have. Water drains out easily if used upright on the top rack so you don't have parts sitting in dirty water and have to wash them again anyway!Customer Review: Lifesaver

This product makes life much easier and everything is cleaned really well. I just wish I had ordered more than one...because it washes only three bottles' worth of pieces at a time. I still nurse him most of the time so you may need to order 2+ if you bottle feed a lot...in order to really be done with bottle washing by hand (we run the washer about every other day). And I have to wash some of my drinking glasses on the bottom because it takes up about 1/2 of a row in my dishwasher, but this hasn't been a problem.
