Customer Review: I'll NEVER buy another brand!
Summary: 5 Stars

My son was born premature. I breastfed for as long as I could but after he was diagnosed with severe acid reflux. I needed to find a bottle. He needed cereal in every bottle to thicken it, along with medications for pain and to help move it along his digestive track. First I tried the playtex bottles with disposable liners. The amount of gas and spit up was still quite a lot and I still had a unhappy baby. Then my doctor told me about Dr. Brown's bottles. They are a bit more expensive then others but WORTH EVERY DIME!!!! The clean up is fine too if you just throw all the pieces together in a nipple basket in the dishwasher. I will never use another bottle with my future children ever again. I am so happy I found these. My son was like a different baby from the FIRST time he used these bottles. The gas was GONE, the spit-up was decreased by well over half the previous amount. I tell every mother and soon-to-be mother I run into about Dr. Brown's bottles. I'll never buy another brand!

Customer Review: difficult to work with in the middle of the night
Summary: 3 Stars

If you're interested in reducing colic, they do the job better than the Avent but, they leak and are difficult to assemble in the middle of the night. I also tried the Avent bottles and my baby didn't seem content with the silicone nipple. If you're planning on combining breastfeeding and bottle at the same time, the best I found is PLAYTEX, try the easy drop ins, with the rubber nipples. Great for first time moms like me, since I didn't know if I was going to be able to breastfeed. Well, I am breastfeeding and expressing milk or using formula has been a breeze using the playtex, easy for my DH to share the joy of feeding our little girl. They are great for reducing colic too. Believe me, most babies get colicky this days for some reason. I wish somebody would of told me this when I registered for baby shower, after all that money we spent in bottles all I needed was 3 playtex bottles, 100 easy drop ins and 6 rubber nipples.

Customer Review: The nipple is not very good
Summary: 3 Stars

The nipple spills the milk out even when the baby is falling asleep or resting and so his/her mouth gets full of milk causing him/her a problem. I do not know if it is really effective for colics for all babies but if your baby does not have an important colic problem, you would rather use the Pigeon bottles (japanese technology) with special nipples for peristaltic movement which is the smooth wave-like lapping movement of a baby's tongue that naturally draws milk from a mother's nipple. These nipples do not spill out milk and the milk only flows if the baby wants to drink and makes this movement. I used Pigeon bottles with my first baby and now, with my second baby, I tried the Dr. Browns bottles because the doctor recommended them but I felt more satisfied with the Pigeon peristaltic nipples. So I changed the nipples and now I am using the Dr Brown's bottles with the standard neck Pigeon nipples.

Customer Review: What a pity!!!
Summary: 3 Stars

What a wasted opportunity with this bottle. It' s true...our baby fed better on this bottle than any other: it reduced his spitting and he was no longer gassy after weeks of distress on various bottles (Avent, NUK, Chicco). Also, cleaning was really not a big deal and if you clean it right after usage it's really no significant extrawork. HOWEVER, amidst the joy of finding a good bottle for my son's gassy tummy, I have noticed it's leaking and it' s leaking badly. I've had lots of patience in trying to screw it tighter, better, etc...because I really thought the rest was excellent; I even bought a new one...still the same. So, once the baby turned 3 months old the bottles were gone. I'm glad I only bought 2. I guess if you have a baby with colics 1 bottle is worth the money, but i would not spend more. And I am back to all the other bottles I mentioned.

Customer Review: Disappointing
Summary: 2 Stars

We bought this product based on its testimonials and thought it would be the best choice for our new baby. While he had no problems using the Playtex Nursers, he ended up having a problem with Dr. brown's Natural Flow bottles. First off, they are a pain to clean. Each piece needs to be painstakenly washed (boiling the nipple, washing the bottle, and scrubbing each hole of the the insert and the reservoir.) It was certainly laborsome and time consuming. Anyhow, when he uses them, he spits up where he didn't with the competition. I tried to figure out why. If you tip the bottle over it drips constantly without any sucking. So my baby is not sucking or swallowing when he uses this product. He lets it build up in his mouth and then ends up having to push it out when he has gotten too much. Needless to say, we are planning to return these and will stick with Playtex.
