This is truly a good bottle. My baby did not have gas or bottle leakage (as with another leading brand). HOWEVER, my problem is with the paint chipping/peeling off of the bottles. I purchased 12 bottles and now 10 of them are virtually without paint on them. I wash these bottles in very hot water and very small paint fragments tend to attach themselves on to nipples, pacifiers, etc. Although I rinse all items thoroughly - small paint fragments may be missed. This concerns me because I sincerely hope my child has not ingested any of this paint. Simply stated - (the paint on) this bottle may not be able to withstand very high heat.Customer Review: THERE OK. BUT A PAIN

These bottles were great at first... then after a few weeks you get tired of cleaning the parts, because there are just WAY to many. But I did it...and i was ready to buy more. But then I started to notice that the paint chips off when you sterilize the bottles...and the paint ended up inside of the bottle... well as a new mom that bugged me and I threw the bottles away b/c I didn't want my son drinking milk with the paint chips in it. But besides all that they are great bottles...he took the milk pretty well in them...But they just scared me with the paint. I recently purchased THE FIRST YEARS SOOTHIE BOTTLE..AND IT WORKS GREAT!Customer Review: Best bottles on the market!!

I tried them all!! Dr Brown's are simply the best and work so well in eliminating or reducing gas. My son hated Playtex ventaire and I was not happy with Avent. I intended to breastfeed exclusively but my son wasn't cooperative so I pump and supplement with formula.
I have no problems cleaning them and I don't even have a dishwasher! I also had trouble with leaking when mixing powdered formula but the newborn set with the 8 oz bottles includes two travel caps that screw on and keep the bottles from leaking when shaking to mix.
I can not say enough about these bottles. They are all I use and am so pleased!!

These are wonderful bottles. I had a lot of trouble nursing my son in the beginning. (Tip: Learn as much as possible about nursing before you have the baby)! So I started to pump and on a recomendation I used these bottles for the breast milk. Even after six weeks without nursing, he still latched on well, like no time had passed. I believe this partially had something to do with the shape of the bottle nipple. Other than that, the design is ingenious. Cleaning them is not too bad, they come with a special brush for the vent. My sister uses Dr. Brown's bottles as well and would agree with a five star rating as well.Customer Review: Excellent Results

I have a six week old son on Alimentum, his 3rd formula. He was constantly, and I mean constantly, cringing and crying with gas pains. Being so young, the doctors said there wasn't really anything we could do. We tried Mylicon, which did nothing. When he did sleep, it would have to be sitting up. I tried many different bottles and nipples, and these bottles have helped tremendously. He is honestly like a different baby. He has a much easier time burping. He is also so much happier, smiling and not crying every time he is awake. I would recommend these to anyone who is having the same problems. They really are a huge help.
