Baby Products Reviews of Dr. Brown's 4 oz Natural Flow Baby Bottle, 3 PackCustomer Review: Wonderful bottles if you follow the directions! Summary: 5 Stars
I used the Avent bottles for the first 4 weeks for my son. He spit up like crazy and was so gassy. He was constantly passing gas. Then I switched to the Dr. Brown's bottles. He rarely passes gas (maybe once or twice a day) and only spits up a drop or two when burping, if at all. All one has to do to avoid leaking, is to follow the directions that come with the bottles. So, when you put the bottle in a warmer, remove the nipple. If you do not remove the nipple when warming, the bottle will leak. Also, do not shake the bottles. Instead, mix any formula or breast milk with a spoon before putting all the parts together or mix it in a separate container and then pour it in the bottle. Finally, do not use the bottle without using all the parts or again, it will leak. If you follow these simple rules, you will be rewarded with a much happier baby and a lot less gas and spit up!! Cleaning the extra parts takes less than a minute. The benefits of this product make it well worth the extra time and money.
Customer Review: LOVE THESE BOTTLES 5 Stars
My daughter is 2 weeks old and thank god it only took us until day two or three to figure out that the Dr. Brown's bottles were for her. We first tried the Avent bottles, but not only did they leak all over the place, but she was not taking much of it. I had bought Dr. Brown's bottles because of the reviews on this website and boy am I glad I did. Once I tried them, she took a LOT more and her fussiness/crying went down dramatically! I have not had any problems with leakage like others have mentioned. It only happened once when I had accidentally kept the bottle too long in the bottle warmer. I also do not have a problem with cleaning extra pieces (and I wash them by hand) since she loves them. I would recommend these bottles to everyone. The Avent bottles were a waste of money, but luckily we figured out what great bottles Dr. Brown's were. Thank you to all that recommended these bottles and to my sister who recommended trying a different bottle/nipple if she's not eating well. It worked !
Customer Review: If you hate washing dishes, this ain't for ya! Summary: 2 Stars
I'm all about new and up dating, even though it's on 1 child, I like to research and know that it's the best or at least the close to it. I tried the avent first, it's ok, but I'm not fond of the plain look. I tried gerber, playtex and so on. Then I bought some Dr. Brown. It was ok for awhile then things starting getting messy. If you hate washing dishes, this ain't for ya! Now this bottle is very difficult. It has so much things you have to assemble. If you put just a tad more milk the lid will leak and it's not easy trying to wash that skinny tube. (sigh) And the nipple is soft and all but my baby needs to something that he can get a grip. If you are looking for the best bottle or nipple, I recommend NAM. They came out with a new bottle and nipple. It has fun colors, very attractive, you can tell that the bottle is working from the air you hear coming out of the bottom suction and the awesome nipple that babies can actually get a grip on. If I had ten hands I'd give it (10) thumbs up!
Customer Review: Thank God for Dr. Brown's bottles!!! Summary: 4 Stars
My son is now 2 months old. We have been having a lot of trouble finding the best solution to a fussy baby. We started him out on Playtex bottles and then switched him to Parent's Choice bottles. He would cry really hard during his feedings and then he would cry like he was in pain for a few hours in the evenings. When he would eat he would get the formula all over his face and it would drip down onto his neck. There was nothing you could do to soothe him. I heard from my Dr.'s office about Dr. Brown's bottles so I thought what the heck it is worth a try. He latched right on to the nipple and has been a very happy baby since. He doesn't seem to have the gas he used to have and he doesn't get formula on him at all. I wish I would have known about these bottles with my first child. I would recommend these bottles to any mother. They are well worth the price! There are a few extra steps in washing the bottles, but what is a few extra seconds compared to several hours of a very fussy baby.
Customer Review: Wonderful Bottles, I love them!!!!!!1 Summary: 5 Stars
I tried using almost every type of bottle on the market. I read up on Dr. Brown's bottles when I was pregnant. I saw an ad for the bottle in a magazine and I put one on my registry just to try as a sample. Well, to no avail the avent bottles I heard so much about from so many experienced mothers persuaded me to concentrate on the avent products. I started using them on my newborn daughter and hated them. The nipples collapsed, the bottle and nipple would fill with air bubbles and I could hear the bubbles inside the bottle. That is when I decided to pull out that one Dr. Brown bottle I received from my shower. It was absolutely amazing. These bottles were the answer to my prayer. My daughter had so much gas and It relieved me to know that it helped ease her pain. I advise them to all mothers. They may be a couple dollars more than the average bottle but it is worth it. Thank you Dr. Brown, without you there would have been many sleepless nights for me and my little girl in pain due to gas
