We had been using playtex disposable bottles for almost 3 mos. The liners were getting quite expensive and saw one of the Dr Brown's bottles on sale at a local store, got it tried it and now that is all he wants. Less gas, better sleeping-takes next bottle and goes back to sleep, no more 30 minute burping. I was very amazed and asked on line other people's comments-thought maybe a fluke. It is more work cleaning bottle but saves tons of $ in drop ins and liners and also have to push the air out of sack before he drinks. He also seems to like the latch on to these nipples-my daughter started laughing saying he looks like he is feeding off a cow-we have the big bottle-but he loves latching on to it and now does not want the playtex anymore-now seems to get gas from it-maybe cause new bottle forms a solid seal on nipple that playtex no longer does since he tried these. Tonite gave him playtex and gas like crazy-switched to dr browns-drank and fell asleep. I highly recommend if you have tried everything else-some babies mite like and others may not-let the baby decide.Customer Review: If the baby is getting too much milk, change the nipple

My husband and I read all the reviews for different products that we were going to buy for our baby so that we could make more informed purchases. After reading most of the reviews (there are an awful lot for these) we decided to try these bottles.I didn't need to use any bottles for a while since I wasn't pumping yet, just breast feeding, and I didn't even know what to do when I went to put one together since my husband had taken it apart and was not home. It wasn't hard to figure out and we have been using them since.
I can say that it was kind of messy with milk coming out of the baby's mouth and we couldn't figure out why until we realized that there are different nipple sizes and the nipple whole was too big for our baby. We got the P instead of the 1 nipples and they have worked wonderfully. There have been no problems with leaks. I can't say that for other bottles. I also didn't think that my baby could spit up until we tried another bottle. All in all we are very pleased with the DR Brown bottles and are glad that we did the research.

I bought Avent bottles, as most people do because they look nice, but watched in HORROR as gas bubbles formed in the milk [no matter what i did] and I spent three hours calming my poor daughter because of all the gas in her tummy.I went back to [a local store] and saw the tiny display for Dr. Brown bottles. I bought one and went back and bought 4.
They worked like a charm. By the time she was 4 months I swear I never had to burp her because she NEVER EVER had a gas bubble.
For 6 months we never had one problem or complaint. They do take a lot of extra work, because if you don't clean them properly they will get a gross formula/breast milk film on the inside parts. But as she grew older I got different bottles as gas is no longer really a problem at 8 months.
My only complaints: The inside green part does wear down, seems to get a bit flimsy and changes color when you sterilize a lot. Also don't forget to take off the whole nipple part! You'll get a horrible brown film in your bottle warmer.
For the sake of your babies tummy buy these bottles!

I bought these bottles because our first daughter not only suffered (and I do mean suffered!) with acid reflux (I was washing a stack of 20-30 bibs a day), which also caused her to have chronic ear infections, along with colic for about 14 hours a day and to top it off, we had to give her so much Mylicon that she eventually built up a resistance to it. I was even using the Playtex Nursers with the liners that were supposed to help with things like that. I would have given anything for these bottles back then. With our 3 month old daughter now, she has never had to have Mylicon, her spit up is limited to maybe 3 times a day, and not a drop of colic. I honestly didn't know that babies could be so content! I have also been able to use them now that she is taking cereal in her bottle at night. They do cost a bit more and take a little longer to wash, but to a parent of a child who is in constant pain and discomfort, it is all so worth it. Our 3 month old's pediatrician even started recommending them to his patients after I told him how well they worked.Customer Review: Best Bottles on the Market

I was a firm believer in the Playtex disposable bottles with my two older daughters. From the time my son was 2 weeks old, he screamed constantly because of the horrible gas pains he was suffering from. I purchased the Dr. Brown's wide neck bottles because of the claims that it helped colicky infants. Well, at first my son didn't like the nipples (Playtex has the square nipples and he was used to those), but when he was 3 months old, we tried the Dr. Brown's again, and he LOVES THEM! He's not dribbling formula all over his face anymore and he eats the bottle a lot quicker. With the Playtex bottles, it would take my son almost an hour to eat 6 ounces of formula. Now, he's done with the bottles within 15 - 20 minutes. Also, it's easier to monitor how many ounces he's exactly eating. That's another problem with the Playtex bottles. You tend to waste formula because some of it gets stuck in the creases of the bags.Anyway, these bottles are definately the best, and I will definately recommend them to every one of my pregnant friends.
