Baby Products Reviews of Dr. Brown's 3 Pack BPA Free Polypropylene Bottle, 8 ozCustomer Review: Reduce burpping a lot Summary: 5 Stars
Pro: I cannot say anything better than this: now I rarely burp my baby after using these bottles. Of course, from now and then I still need to burp my baby, but it is way less frequent, and my baby can sleep better w/o interruption. As you already know, sleeping is 100 times more important than feeding. Oh, did I mention that my baby used to have colic and now she doesn't? Of course it is a combination of choosing the right formula and bottles.
Con: The only two down sides is the scales on the bottle is too tiny to read, and it take hands to touch and assemble the bottles (yes, I know). Make sure your hand is double and triple washed.
Customer Review: Have several on hand Summary: 4 Stars
I haven't used any other bottles so I don't have anything to compare these to. I originally bought the variety starter and then as my baby grew past 3 months, I had to buy more of these 8oz ones. Because there are so many parts to clean, I wash a whole batch at a time. Yes, they are a pain to clean! There are so many little nooks that sometimes I miss a spot and that part starts to grow mold so I end up having to buy replacement parts, which are not cheap. Other than that, these have worked out for my baby since birth. She was colicky for 5 months of her life. I'm not sure if these bottles helped or not but I have no complaints.
Customer Review: Would give at least 4 stars if I they didn't come with HOLES at the bottom Summary: 2 Stars
We bought 2 packs of these Dr. Brown's bottles to our 1st child based on the reviews and on its allegedly ability to prevent the baby from swallowing too much air during feeding.
However, for our surprise, 1 bottle of each separate pack we bought had a very tiny HOLE on its bottom. So, when we first tried putting them in our bottle heater, the milk started to drip badly through the hole and make a huge mess, besides losing all half+ of the milk.
If we got just 1 bottle with this problem, I could even accept we were very unlucky. But 1 8 oz. bottle in each of the 2 separate packs we bought... come on...
Customer Review: A good bottle till I found better. Summary: 3 Stars
This worked great for my infant. Does everything is said it would. However, there are five parts to individually clean and keep together. And I found the internal bottle system more intensive to clean, even though they do enclose a special brush for cleaning. Without it. forget it. I do not dishwash my baby bottles, however after my husband ran them through the dishwasher we had a hard time with leaking.
So I tried another bottle, the Avent bottles. I love them. My baby loves them. Easy to clean. PBA free (all of them). The bubble filtration system works just as good as the Dr. Browns. They're worth the extra dough.
Customer Review: don't leak like Avent Summary: 4 Stars
We were using AVENT bottles but they tended to be prone to leaking so my wife bought some of these. I don't see an decrease in the baby's gasiness or fussiness but I do say these bottles DON'T LEAK, and the nipple is narrower so the baby drools less when eating. So we have ditched the AVENT and switched to the Dr. Browns, plus they are MADE IN THE USA. The only flaw I see is that the once markings on the side are hard to read, we found one bottle where they were painted on and you could read them fine, the others are molded into the side of the bottle and are hard to read, especially at 3am feedings!!!!!!
