I was so excited when I found out that Dr. Brown's was coming out with these. I too was worried about chemicals leaching into the milk from plastic bottles. I got them, and not only are they 7 oz. (why 7? strange size, too small) but the lettering on the outside of the bottles has already started coming off. I love that Dr. Brown's bottles help with my baby's gas, but I was much happier with the performance of the plastic bottles.Customer Review: glass is better option even if product not perfect

While these come in 7oz. instead of more useful over the long term 8 oz. size, I was very happy to have the option of glass instead of risky plastic bottles with the dr. brown's air system. Before puchasing I read the reviews that said the lettering (volume markings) comes off and was concerned that this would happen but made the purchase anyway. We handwash the bottles and have never had this problem.

On April 8th, I purchased this product from Amazon for $12.99 - now one month later Amazon is charging nearly $50! Unbelievable!! Amazon is taking advantage of the latest news regarding the harmful chemicals in plastic baby bottles and now that there is a high demand for glass bottles, they have decided to raise the price to nearly four times what it was a month ago. It worked for one month, After that, started to leak, very bad that I decided to throw them away and change it to brand "Born free" bottles, I would not recommend these glass Dr. Brown bottles. The leaking was very bad after one month of use. Every time I fed my baby, half of the milk leaked through the bottle. Don't buy these bottles unless you want to throw them after a bit.Customer Review: A better alternative

In light of all of the hype regarding BPA, we changed our son's bottles from plastic to glass. They're lightweight and do a wonderful job. The only issues I have with these bottles are that they only hold 7 ounces and I would have preferred 8 (like the plastic) and that I don't know whether the components are BPA free. Otherwise, I love them. They stay cold/warm longer.
