Customer Review: Another plastic hunk of junk for your home

Our baby is due in three weeks. After much research, I finally decided upon the diaper dekkor plus.
It arrived today. What a disappointment.
It is a plastic trash can, which is assembled in 4 pieces. Thus, the stink comes through all of the seams. There are too many plastic parts which can easily break. This hunk o junk is going back.
Instead, I am going to purchase a simply human stainless steel trash can with a step opening. More money but better quality.

I've had this diaper pail for 4 months. It is great. I do not think that the odor is bad. First of all, I do change the bag every other day. On the second day the smell comes out only when you drop the new dirty diaper. But that is only for a moment. I do breast feed my baby, so maybe that is why it does not smell bad. Also, the only time that I had to push the diaper in, was when the diaper was completely empty. Every other time it slips in, and I do not have to use my hands. I would recommend this product.Customer Review: Best one I have used!

We use to have the diaper champ. The smell from the diaper champ was horrible. When I had my last child, I started looking for something that would be able to hold more diapers and smell less. After looking around, I decided to try the Diaper Dekor. It works great! It is easy to use and you don't notice the smell. It does absolutely nothing to contain the odors. I can change it out and within a few dirty diapers the scent coming from it is horrible. It was embarrassing when my Mom came in and accused me of not emptying it for weeks and I'd done it that morning! It's a shame because everything else about the product is great! The Diaper Dekor Plus works well, still get the occassional stink, but I don't think any diaper pail will remove all the stink. I find it easy to use, and like the pedal to open the top, instead of having to reach down and open it will one hand, while trying to steady the baby with the other hand. I recommend this product to friends.
