After researching diaper pails, I decided to go with the Diaper Dekor Plus because you can just hit the foot pedal and drop the diapers into it without using your hands. Plus it can be converted into a regular trash can in the future. I love it!
The smell is very well contained and it is easy to use. I don't have any problems opening it to change bags either. It's simple and attractive and holds alot of diapers. My only minor comoplaint is that when it gets full sometimes you have to reach your hand in to push the diapers down, but that's not a big deal to me. (though be careful of scraping your hand on the opening when you pull your hand out)
I'm very pleased and would buy this again. Highly recommend.

We looked at a lot of reviews before deciding on the diaper dekor. It definitely lived up to the expectations. It is easy to use and holds the smell in. You just drop the diaper in and your done. I also like that you can buy biodegradable bags for it. We were using biodegradable diapers and it just seemed silly to put them into a bag that wouldn't degrade, defeating the whole purpose of the diapers. We were able to rest easy knowing that this product had the features we wanted while being environmentally friendly. The refill bags last a long time, we take the diapers out twice a week and a refill will last about a month and a half. I would recommend this to anyone who asks.Customer Review: Eh

The Dekor is stable, the foot pedal is good, and when both the lid and and "trap door" is closed it works well.
However, the split second the trap door is open to put in new diapers, wipes, etc. the odor trapped inside comes out and smacks ya in the face and then lingers in the room. After a few days the diapers and what's IN the diapers smell almost rancid.
I hesitate to recommend this product. Get one that will never expose you to the odor once you dispose of the used diapers and wipes.
Bad enough you gotta smell it when it comes out of your pooping machine but to have to smell it again later mixed in with the others?!! Just nasty.

Got a few smelly diapers? You don't need to wait until the bag is full, you knot your own size bag!!!
I got this pail for our 2nd child. Our last pail used regular garbage bags and I thought I liked that more because there weren't any "pricey" refills to get. Well, now that I have this one that you cut and knot at the end, I LOVE IT! There is a little cutter built in for easy bag change. As far as smell, you only smell it when you open the trap door. Normally, just put the balled up diaper on the trap door and close the lid, the diaper falls to the bag.

Nicely designed, and flawless in keeping dirty diapers safely contained. In the beginning I found it a bit awkward to operate while holding a diaper, but now that's not an issue. I also like the bag design - there's one long continuous bag that you cut and tie-off as you fill it. This design allows you to use and throw-out only the amount of bag that's used, as opposed to a pre-cut bag with inefficient overage in how it's sized. This is our first baby, and my new part-time job is diaper changing. I'm very happy with the look and function of this purchase.
