It's sad. I have to agree with the other reviews. Diaper Dekor seems to be in line with other companies saving money by shrinking the product size (2 bags instead of 3) and keeping the same or increasing the price. They did it all under the guise of environmental health, "New Biodegradable bags." Biodegradable technology cost more, that's why there isn't more competition for companies like Seventh Generation.
Those of us attempting to "save the earth" pay the most. I think I will put these on "subscribe and save" like my Seventh Generation diapers. Then I can save a few pennies and feel good about an easy-to-use, likeable diapering system that is also smart for the planet. Thank goodness for Amazon subscribe and SAVE. Busy Moms with "butt" bills need it.
As far as hiding poop smell, well, we all come to know once babies are eating "real" food, there is no hiding poop smell. What we like about these bags is you can throw out a small bag without any waste. We have to do that sometimes and the light powder scent of the liner is refreshing.

My twins are 8 months old and we have been happily using the Diaper Dekor Plus system until now. The new bags are horrible in everyway-I want the old ones back!!!!!! First off, yes they only contain 2 refills instead of 3. They are also blueish-green in color instead of the white and DO NOT contain odors. The old white ones were perfect, I NEVER smelled the dirty diapers, even when changing the bags. Now they are SO smelly!!!!!! Especially when opening it and changing out the bags. To top it off the refills are about 1/3 the cappacity of the old ones. I've only had the new ones for a month and I'm already on a new refill. I changed the previous model every 2 1/2 months! I'm SO MAD at the new "safe/green" bags I could scream! This system was PERFECT until they made these new bags. Dont know what I'm going to do know. I feel like tracking down the old ones and buying them all out! My babies are only 8 months old. I have a while until they are potty trained...:(Customer Review: New bags are really bad

I've been using the Diaper Dekor Plus system for a few years now and the new biodegradable bags came in about two-thirds of the way through that time, and maybe it's the comparison between the ways things were before (great) and the way things are now (okay, depending on how you feel about smell). I thought the system (with the old refills) was great. I had no complaints whatsoever. However, I agree with the reviewers who believe the new biodegradable bags really don't control odor well, or at all, depending on your view. I'm also at a loss to understand what's so great about biodegradable diaper bags when most people are filling them with non-biodegradable diapers. So, the bags breaks down and releases 16 poop filled diapers into the landfill.... I really used to like the Dekor Plus and recommended it to people but with the new bags it really does smell like you're openly stacking diapers in the corner. This is an excellent product for being both functional and biodegradable.
We use Seventh Generation diapers and the biodegradable bag means that they will degrade sooner to expose the diapers to biodegradation sooner. We use biodegradable trash bags as well. Composting or flushing the diapers is not an option as we live in the city.
We really love the lack of plastic smell with the biodegradable diapers. The normal liners have a strong perfume smell to mask the smell of the diapers. The less perfume and dyes the better.
The bags have never broken.
We put our diaper pales in the guest bathrooms on the first and second floors of the house that both have high throughput Panasonic fans. The smell is only a minor issue. We could never understand why people put diapers pales in bedrooms.
We only buy these bags now.

I was disgusted at the number of negative responses to these bags. I'm on my third child and have used the Diaper Genie and the Diaper Champ. This far exceeds those. The amount of people that commented on "who cares if they are biodegradable" is astonishing. GET A GRIP PEOPLE! Every little thing helps. You might as well tell your children you don't care what kind of world we are leaving for them. And for those of you who think there are no biodegradable disposable diapers...try diapers.com and check out Nature Babycare-completely biodegradable disposable diapers. They are amazing, even overnight. (My baby is 8 months old) I wouldn't use Pampers, Huggies, etc. if someone gave them to me now. Even Earth's Best and Seventh Generation are only environmentally friendly-not completely biodegradable. I think this is a huge step in the right direction--WAY TO GO DIAPER DEKOR!
