compre dos de estas barandas para colocarlas en la cama tamaño Queen que tiene mi hijo y es tremenda baranda, funciona a la perfeccion, facil de ajustar al colchon, tiene una especie de ancla que va del lado opuesto de la baranda para evitar que la baranda se caiga al piso si el bebe se apoya, es excelente. Lo unico que me parecio en contra fue que no trae instrucciones de ensamblaje, aunque al final no es muy dificil, seria bueno que trajera instrucciones de ensamblaje.
En una cama tamaño Queen, aunque sobra espacio, no es tan grande como para que el niño se caiga....a lo mejor en una cama tamaño Matrimonial el espacio se reduce un poquito
Customer Review: Barely Fits Onto South Shore Platform Bed

This product is advertised as a "universal" bed rail that's suitable for platform beds. However, the South Shore beds with a twin mattress can barely fit even one of these rails. The pivot point (corner of the "L") requires room to fit between the platform and the mattress. On a South Shore bed, the pivot point squeezes the mattress as it rests against the bed frame. It barely fits. And you can forget about lowering the rail because of the bed frame's "lip". You can also forget about using 2 of these to cover both sides of a South Shore bed, and you'll have to have one side of the bed up against the wall.
Hence, a 3 star rating.

I am not sure whatever happened to the bedrails I used for my son. Put together, extend arms, put under mattress, kid stayed in bed. In an effort to make either better or safer they have only created headaches and problems.
Putting together was simple, however, securing under a mattress was horrible. I had to secure this under a queen mattress for my granddaughter to sleep over. Very difficult could not do alone and then it wasn't any better than the bedrails I used for my son.
They should simply have kept the arms longer and forget the securing under the mattress on the other side of the bed.

My three and a half year old granddaughter has transitioned from a bedside co-sleeper, to a convertible crib with a Kidco safety rail, when the front of the crib was removed, to a two piece twin bed using this Dex products bed rail.
This is a very useful safety device when properly used. The child should be capable of getting into and out of bed on their own and not think the bed rail is a climbing toy.
It looks like most of the negative reviews were posted by parents who didn't observe the safety warnings posted on the box and on the enclosed instructions.
Bottom line. It works well when used as directed.

I read the reviews of this toddler rail on amazon before I went out and bought it. Most people were happy with it, but the bottom line is that this is the only option for platform beds. We use it with a full-sized platform bed for our 3.5 year old son. It works great for him, although at this age it is more of a guide than anything. It keeps him and all of his animals (Spotty the dinosaur) from falling out the bed. It doesn't anchor to anything, but it's pretty rigid and with our bed it doesn't move around. I would recommend, especially to parents who are using it on a platform bed with kids 3 and up.
