This bed works wonderfully for my 2 year old son. Although I wished that the instructions included pictures, the directions were clear and easy. The rail is now snugly fitting against the mattress and it is soft enough so that my son often sleeps comfortably against it. I use this because my 3 month old sleeps in our queen size bed with us. It gives us more usable room because one of us can sleep right up close to the edge. It works well, installs easily, and most importantly, fits really tightly against the mattress, so it is appropriate for use with an infant. It is, however, sometimes difficult to get it to lock back into the upright position.Customer Review: safety first

I have only used the product once for my grandson. It is a safe folding side bed rail and that is the priority, but like some of the other reviews say, it hits the floor when folded down. The bed we have him in is a single bed with a normal height frame. It seems a little silly to raise the bed for a two year old. Taller frame or a taller box spring it would fold down all the way.Customer Review: good bed rail

This was a cinch to put together and install. It is very sturdy and keeps my toddler from rolling out of bed. I am using it on a twin mattress without the box spring on the floor. This isn't a recommended way to use it on the box (says to use WITH box spring) however it is still very secure and the bed is nice and low for my son to get in and out of. We had no problems with assembly. It only took us about 10 minutes, and it was entirely set up. We've been using the bed rail for a few weeks now, and our 2 1/2 year old hasn't fallen out of bed once. He's been up against the rail in the morning a few times, and it's held solid. Really like the fold down feature as well...very simple to use. I would buy this product again.
