We tried a few other sleep guards and one was too short in the height causing my son to roll right outta bed. The second guard was too flimsy and when my son rolled against it when he was sleeping the darn thing pulled right out from under the mattress. The third one we tried the guard was supposed to be able to flip down so that you can get the bed changed easily, etc. Well it kept flipping down by it self.
In desperate search for a quality sleep guard, we tried this one. I thought the price was a little high but figured we bought the cheaper ones and thats what we got cheap. So we spent the extra money and....
THIS IS THE BEST SLEEP GUARD OUT THERE IN MY OPINION. MOMS AND DADS, DONT WASTE ANY MORE OF YOUR TIME, GET THIS ONE, TRUST ME FROM ONE PARENT TO ANOTHER, THIS IS THE ONE YOU WANT!!!

Recently I swtiched from a full size bed to a tiwn, in preparation for a move to elderly housing. As my illness causes me to fall out of bed, and I sleep on my right side, I have a 1/2 size bed rail on that side of the bed. My chichuhua sleeps with me. Since the bed is so much smaller, I was afraid he would fall off his side and I didn't want to get the same type of rail I have as he could easily slip through the rails. This is why I purchased the product. Interestingly enough, the dog will not sleep on that side now and is sleeping on the right. Thankfully, he has not fallen off. But, I have found that this product works well for me. If I start to slip, it has plenty of coverage and while it is not a hard metal, it is enough to wake me up and warn me so that I can move.Customer Review: Works great on toddler's lower bunk

After reading many product reviews, I chose this for my 3-year old son's lower bunk "big boy bed." The bed just has a mattress and slats (no bunkie board) and the guard rail stays securely in place under the mattress. My son rolls around a lot, pushes against the rail with his feet, and it does not budge. It has made a big difference to us and our son. The first week in his bed, he fell out every night and was starting to be fearful of going to sleep. Since we got this rail (3 weeks ago), he feels safe and snug, and loves his big boy bed. No more thuds in the middle of the night. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend this product. By the way, I am not a "handy" person but I assembled it easily by myself in about 10 minutes time.Customer Review: Good Product

I ordered two of these bed rails for my grandson one for each side of his bed,very easy assembly,less than 15 min for both. His bed has a bunkie board that sit down within the bed frame and because of the bulkiness of the hinges on the guard rail we could not utilize both guards rails,because the mattress would not fit with both rails in place. We ended up having to push the beds against the wall,which is what I trying to avoid by ordering two,but it work great with just one,its secure,sturdy and the fold down feature is great for easy bed making. The box spring mattress would allows us to use both rails,because the thickness of the mattress would raise it above the frame. I was pleasantly surprise not to disappointed.Customer Review: Only one flaw

In general we are pleased with the bed rail we purchased for a twin bed for our grandson to use. It was a little confusing to install at first but once we got the instructions straight in our head it wasn't bad. It seems to be of high quality and very sturdy. Our only problem is that when we want to drop the side down, the rail is taller then the distance to the floor from between the mattress and box spring so it leans instead of dropping straight down. We only use the bed for our grandson so we leave the side up. I would probably buy another and may eventually purchase the companion for the other side of the bed. The price was much less than others we looked at so we were happy with that aspect.
