Baby Products Reviews of DaVinci Kalani 3 Drawer Changer in EspressoCustomer Review: Looks Beautiful , But Quality just average Summary: 3 Stars
I just assembled the change table ... so far it looks good but I am not fond of the quality.
The drawers are very flimsy, I suggest not packing to many diapers and heavier items in them. I do not think they will hold up long term if packed
Assembly was ok, not to bad. Instructions could be clearer and the parts could have been labeled to help make assembly easier to coordinate with the instructions~
The black finish was beautiful A+ but seems to scratch very easy~
Overall this will do the job for the year and half the baby needs, however I would have rather paid an extra $100.00 for solid wood drawers and better quality to have
this piece of furniture much longer!!!! For the price its better then most change tables I have shopped for. I just wish all these companies would focus more on quality in the future~
I think people are tired of the throw out replace agenda and will spend more for better made products!
As a tip ... I recommend using wood glue wherever you you join the dowels. I think this will aid in it being sturdier . It seems to have given this table a better hold~
Customer Review: despite some misgivings, ended up looking good! Summary: 4 Stars
I ordered this with some trepidation. One, some negative reviews here, second the Amazon color is "brown" but I wanted espresso. Turns out Brown IS espresso. It perfectly matches our Kalani espresso crib. It took a quite a while to put it together, certain stages do require two people (just like it says in the manual.) The manual is not very clear, the parts are not labeled and certain steps are not explicitly called out, you sort of need to figure it out on your own. Like other people said, it DOES scratch real easily, indeed. However, you'll be hard pressed to find a better table in this price point. Took me about 2 hrs to put everything together, it was quite a project. In the end, it is rock solid. DaVinci is a Million Dollar Baby brand, excellent customer service. I managed to mess up a bolt accidentally, sent them an email, a replacement came in the mail in 2 days.
Two things I wish they'd improve.
1. Better instructions + parts need to be labeled.
2. The drawers when pulled from a side, end up a little skewed, you need to pull from the center.
Otherwise, good product, real solid.
Customer Review: Looks good. Decent Quality. Summary: 4 Stars
We purchased this set for first baby. Having never shopped for baby furniture, I had to do a lot of research. I read a lot of reviews and a lot of people claimed that it was not good quality. I believe that the quality is in line with the price. If you are looking for a solid oak piece that you can pass down to the grandchildren in 25 years, this is not the piece for you. If you are looking for a nice looking, decent quality changing table, then you will like this. It matches the Kalani crib perfectly. Took me about 45 minutes to assemble with very little help from my wife. It feels sturdy. It looks good. The drawers slid smoothly. Ultimately, it is a nice changing table for the price.
Customer Review: happy so far Summary: 4 Stars
So far I'm happy with my purchase of the Davinci changing table. When it arrived there was a damaged piece but my husband was able to get a replacement piece sent from the manufacturer easily. It came in about a week later. The changer was pretty easy to assemble. There were a couple spots with nicks but they are not visible when assembled. The piece looks great and matches well with the Davinci crib and 4-drawer dresser we ordered with it.
The changer did come with a changing pad which I didn't realize but it is extremely thin, I'm glad I ordered a separate one that's better quality.
Customer Review: Very Disappointing Summary: 2 Stars
This changer looks great albeit it's not durable at all. The drawers are already falling apart! I guess you get what you pay for. I find that I don't have a place for the changing accessories like diaper caddy. When the baby is small enough, you could sneak that at the end of the changing pad but when they turn about 3 months, you run out of space.
Comes in really heavy big packaging and it doesn't fit in car trunks. So probably best to have it delivered to your home instead of the office.
