I gave it 4 stars, because I have nothing to compare it to. I had never heard of wipe warmers before my mother-in-law purchased this for our son. He used to cry every time we wiped his bottom b/c of the coldness, but now he's perfectly content during diaper changes. Also, a little tidbit, we just use thin, small baby washclothes, get them wet, and put in a little soap, and they work great as reusable wipes. I just wash them along with the cloth diapers. As for this specific product, I read that for other parents the lock broke off.We've had this warmer for nearly a month now, and the lid has been just fine.Customer Review: Pretty good warmer

I give this warmer as baby shower gifts all the time. It is wonderful for keeping wipes warm. The warmer wipes are on the bottom but it does keep the top ones warm as long as the container stays closed. If you do leave it open for any length of time it will take a couple of hours for it to warm the top ones back up. Make sure when you refill it that you put the new wipes on the bottom. They will get brown on the bottom if you don't rotate them. Overall I like it. I have one for my son (4 months). Wish I had one when my daughter (5 years) was a baby.Customer Review: Very durable, handy warmer

I bought one of these for my second child. It was on pretty much at all times, 24-7, unless I was going to be gone overnight, for over 3 years! It is remarkably well built. I never had problems with wipes drying out though I did add water once in awhile because I liked my wipes a little wetter than normal. But it held in the moisture well and did not dry out. I think the thing that I liked most about this product was that for all the time that it was constantly on, it never faltered, and that made me secure in its electrical safety.Customer Review: lid breaks easily

I have bought two of these warmers and have had to return both of them because the lid breaks within weeks of using it. I chose not to try again. It works as far as warming the wipes but after a few weeks of use the lids hinges break and then it winds up on the floor,then the wipes dry up. Eight years ago with my first child I had something like a heating pad that wraped around the wipes box and it lasted for years, through two children. Now with # 3 I'd just rather have the old style wipe warmer.Good luck finding it, I can't.Customer Review: Better than expected

When I first received this, I thought I would return it because it was frivilous and since this was my second I really wanted to concentrate on needs not wants. BUT, I would recommend this as a important WANT as it really helps babies to learn that changing a diaper isnt all that bad. The draw backs as one other reviewer said was the flimsy lid hinge. It is broken! but since the hole for the wipes it too large I dont use the hole anyway. I have since taped the hole shut and unlock the warmer and pull them out from there.
